Back in the day I use to attend all of the Southern black events. Black College Reunion, Freaknic, Kappa Beach, Kappa Lua, and Bike week. I notice the trend about 7 years ago that none of these event were like they use to be. It seems as though the younger generation is not able to handle these events and take them over the way the people in my generation did when I was coming up. What do u think Remior any abody else who has insight?

true !!!
i feel you on the time span thing ..after awhile it gets old (.....or at least it sHould)
and yeah when it comes to these EVENTs in HUGE cities ..it attracts alotta attention some good and some TERRIBLE....
but certain events have specific meaning ...
like lets take black bike week .. if you are someone who rides .. you really wanna go to see the bikes.. the races.. the "show-n-go"..and to hit the vendors up for parts and accessories that you might want for your bike..
but you always get that FOLLOWINg of people who just wanna go to see ASS..BIKINIs.. POP SHIT .. MAKE TROUBLE... and 80 % of the time those people DONT RIDE !!!!
but am i gonna let those people stop me... a RYDA from going .... NAW ... imma go cause i have " PURPOSE " and besides someone has to set the standard at these events ....
im too young to not to be @ events like this .... and im too old to do the STUPID shit that the IGGNANT FOLKs do ....

That might be a nice time to go see family... it's a long way to go just to just see more Puerto Ricans... it might be worth just to see people walk up to my wife and try to speak Spanish to her :hearts:
