I have been getting a Brazillian wax and been getting some ingrown hairs. Well, my waxer hipped me to this stuff called Tend Skin. It clears up ingrown hairs and razor bumps from waxing and shaving. I have used it on my bikini line and my underarms and it looks so good. Here is a link to the website. You can order it from there or you can check around town for it. I found it at Sephora for $20 and that little bottle has lasted for months.

Men and women can use it.

About Tend Skin:

Tend Skin will improve the appearance of razor bumps, ingrown hairs, and redness caused by hair removal. Excellent for both women and men, you will see results in 24 hours!

Product Details:

Razor bumps (pseudofolliculitis barbae):

Razor bumps are created when the growing beard hairs exit the skin, curl over, and burrow into the adjacent skin. This creates a foreign body reaction resulting in an unsightly condition. Razor bumps form on the beard areas of men. Occurrence varies with nationality.

Ingrown Hairs:

These form when hairs, growing back after shaving, waxing, electrolysis, or other hair removal method, fail to grow out of the skin. The hair curls over inside the follicles under the skin. By curling, the hair creates a foreign body reaction in the hair follicle. The inflammation in the follicle then creates and unsightly bump.

Many products claim to deal with these two problems. Their actions, however, are limited as per our customer feedback.

Tend Skin Lotion works on in-grown hairs and razor bumps as follows:

1. Application causes an increased fluid ingress into skin.
2. This ingress increases fluid pressure under the skin.
3. The increased turgor tends to squeeze the hair follicles.
4. This squeezing of the follicles decreases their diameter leaving less room in the interior of the follicles.
5. Squeezing the follicles forces ingrown hairs to exit the pores and, thus, grow to the surface

Sounds good. I'll consider it when I get to wanting to get a closer shave.

I tend to use electric razors or beard trimmers to shave. That seems to minimize razor bumps for me, because beard trimmers cut close...but not too close...

So do I, but the back of the neck bumps have been around since teen years, when I started combing my hair back instead of foward. I read online where you have to clean your comb or brush "after every use" and wash scalp with a special treatment to keep the re-contamination to a minimum. That's it, Rock, ACNE KELOIDITIS, and that is the web site. I just wanted to hear a personal testimonial to prove it wasn't snake oil.

Yeah that chick works with many famous people too. So I would try her, but I hear there are others that have cures for it too. The more I learn I will share and post it here.
