Is it possible to record something on VHS and then record it to DVD? Is this process expensive?

I am working on a project where I will be presenting my play at a local theatre. I will be videotaping for the purpose of sale (like the MaDear series) however I want to be able to offer VHS and DVD's.

My son's choir did a live recording and they are offering both formats but the guy who did them wants MONEY to give me info (jive turkey). Basically instead of answering my question he's saying HIRE ME...I'll hook ya up for a fee.

Anyhoo...who knows something about this.

Yes, I already have a lawyer, and copyrights, yada yada are in the processes.

Probably, if you have a DVD recorder. I don't think it should be any different than copying one VHS tape to another VHS tape. If the DVD recorder can copy any data sent to it, I don't see a problem.

Yes, they do have DVD recorders that will receive any images you want to place to it but they are not cheap either
