If you were the HNIC and were runnin' thangs On The Hush, How would you run it?

Re-Run it
Add to it
Subtract from it
Etc........

I been waiting almost 4 years for this one. lol :p

If I were the HNIC I would not do much different.

I would add to it by bringing back the music downloads and the contests.

I would add a religious forum and a male/female forum.

What I mean is there would be a ladies lounge where you'd have to have checked female on registration to get in, and also one just for the men.

Sometimes I think each sex may want to discuss things amongst themselves (but not talk about Zuri) lol :D

I would take away the Sinnah mode but leave the confessional. If a person wants to confess something they can do it as themselves or go through the motions of creating an identity but I would not provide them with one.

I would reopen the html codes for the signatures, but stress the limitations.

I would hand select Moderators that I trusted and felt would do a good job.

Hmmm, I'm not all that comfortable in positions of power.

I guess I would have a time out section where people couldn't post for a certain period of time (cause some folks need time outs).

Constant troublemakers will be thrown out, cause they are like cancer, and if you don't get rid of it, it spreads (yes it does). But then again if there were no troublemakers, there would be no real entertainment (imma think on this one sommore).

Ummm, everytime a male tries to give unsolicited advice on how to fuck a another man that shit will be pointed out and we will ask "and how many have you fucked?" (just cause i think that shit would be funny, don't know why though) All dick don't work the same way dammit :hammer

Good points Tastey (Nigga said 4 years), but the Nerds have not built the gender thang into the software yet, as soon as there is a gender hack, I might do just that.

As far as trusting Moderators, I did that a few times and posts were deleted and I had to pull back to regulate. Now it's all on me...for now.

I would like to see when a person edits their thread. I have tried this on another site and noticed that there must be some time limit after you post until they will give the "last edit" message.

eliminate the "minimum post" requirement for avitars. Many new people always ask how to post a avatar...just to hear that they need to post at least 150 times...or something like that. What is the point of doing that now?

Allow HTML....but let's not allow them to do that BP shiiiiiiiiiiiit...That is too much...

On the bottem of each page of the thread, allow the user to simply enter a reply...without having to press the "reply" button.

Yes, ladies...make the VIP rooms and their posts totally invisible to those who cannot enter them...

If you are still open for suggestions I saw this on another message board and I really like it.

It's a JOURNAL forum. In the journal forum a person can just freestyle. Poetry, secret thoughts, desire, rant, whatever.

But the thread auto closes to anyone other than the thread starter. There can not be any replies, unless it's by the original thread starter, just the starters opportunity to say what they feel and move on.

This board also has a Barber Shop for men, and a Ladies lounge for women with the sex restricitions. Women cannot post in the Barber Shop and men cannot post in the Ladies lounge.

I'm not sure how it's done (it may just be heavily moderated deleting posts or whatever) but it's cool.

I saw something very interesting on another board...

Somehow, they were able to have both the post count and right below there was another credit. In this case, it was in the form of dollars. The dollars were determined based on other criterias (How many words/characters that a person posts and how many threads that a person creates).

I thought that it was a cool concept because it added another dimension to how we determine a member's participation.

Of course, that concept may not be compatible with the Hush, but the money was used to grant extra privledges etc. A person can start off with a avatar from the list of available avatars when they begin, but can buy the option to post their own avatars...

Of course, the money can be given to other members etc.


I just thought that it was a cool concept...
