I don't plan to start for awhile yet. To me half the fun of Christmas shopping is being in the stores with the crowds, the music playing, and the decorations.
I tried shopping early one year and was finished by Thanksgiving. I went back to the stores anyway...I missed the chaos. LOL :D

No....unfortunately, I am always out there at 5:59 on Christmas Eve begging for 5 more minutes. I just can't get my shopping done prior to the day before. I did one year many moons ago, but that was b/c I had the extra time on my hand to do it during the day.

Sparkles,
We are here <-----------------> LOL ;)
Christmas is my favorite time of the whole year.
I have to hit the After Thanksgiving sales, and check out the decorations, and of course buying whatever stupid holiday item is out each year like the singing flowers, or the talking Santas. ;)
Man, ya'll gone make me go home and pull out my ancient video tape of Motown Merry Christmas and watch it over and over and over. RTFLOL :D :D

I love the cooking, and decorating, and giving everyone their gifts.. I'll be doing the layaways soon too.. My boys are asking mostly for clothes this year so it should be easy.. But can't wait till the after Thanksgiving sale - will be at the stores right at 6am when they open!!!

I have my raggedy copy of "How the Grinch stole Christmas" that I watch every year, and I like the after Thanksgiving sale...it's the best.
And I like all the cooking too...

I haven't started because I don't do a lot of buying as far as Christmas is concerned. . .I don't buy into the traditional reasoning behind it or feel the need to go into debt to show someone how I feel about them.
However, I do love to decorate and start planning that early and keep up things up until the first week of January. . .I have five trees and mass lights, wreaths, candles, decoratives, throw rugs, plates, dishtowels, etc.
I like to listen to Christmas music (religious or whatever), watch the videos, make all the holiday snacks, have get togethers. I think that the season is the time to spend time with those you care about rather than spending the money on frivilous gifts.
I know this gets to my daughter but I figure if I can spend on you 364 days a year then I can celebrate this one in the fashion I feel is most important.

I remember when my brother and I couldn't wait until the Christmas cartoons came on. Rudolph, The Grinch, Frosty....those were the days. My kids won't look at them.
Now my favorite Christmas movie is What a Wonderful Life. I have it on video. I may watch sometime soon.

Can't say I really started buy...... since i get discounts at the JOB.. I have to order stuff about 2 months in advance from the warehouse before they mail the stuff to the stores... So if anyone can't fit the stuff my compamy sells they won't get anything.
I also like watching the old cartoons... I like Baby New Year too.

Even if you hate shopping, the stores are determined to have your ass in the stores the day after Thanksgiving....I have already gotten a number of booklets and coupons for that day of frantic shopping! So it looks like I will be there regardless of if I am done or not, because I cannot pass up those bargains!!!
