I use the Alexa toolboar that has a ad blocker...it works very well too. And it's free...and it does other things...

The only problem...
Ad blockers are not always perfect and sometimes block things that you want to see.

...i downloaded alexa, and boy is my puter runnin slow!! HOWEVER, it is an old computer, so i should expect it...it's nice...no complaints so far...

My computers at work are both 333mhz and 400mhz, but they seem to do ok with minimal slowdown.
But there are other ad blockers out there, so you may want to experiment a little if you think that Alexa is slowing your system down. :D
