View Full Version : ~ Follow Up ~

Six months ago, I had my very first mammogram (baseline).. I was told to come back in six months for a follow up because they had seen something on my right breast.

I have not been worried the past six months, however, I am a little anxious now to see what the results are. (My sister thought I was crazy for not being worried when they told me that I had to come back)

So, my follow up visit is tomorrow, 7/17.. I am asking for the FAM to keep me in your thoughts and in your prayers that they do not see what they saw six months ago, and if they do, that it be nothing! :upretty

As an aside, I should let you know that I asked my GYN two years ago to send me for a mammogram when one of my cousins had passed away due to breast cancer... she told me "no, wait until you're 35!"

I will keep you guys posted, no matter what the outcome.

Thanks! ;)

Yes! All went well yesterday.. :) what they saw six months ago is still there, however, it has not changed at all in size, etc.. they said it was breast tissue.. I forget the medical term they used!

Thank you Lord!! And, thanks guys for your prayers.. I really appreciate it!! ;)

GREAT! I am glad everything turned out fine. I have lumpy breast myself and when I was a teenager, the peditrician had my mom take me to another doctor for a second opinion and the determined that it was breast tissue. I always do a self examination and make sure that my doctors know about my lumpy breast.
