I think that many have assumed that the point of us being a Christian is to be happy, or "nice" (whatever that means. If ever there was a word without a meaning, it has to be 'nice.'), or to go to heaven, or some other personal reason.
I do not think that Jesus came to us to make us interested only in ourselves. Heaven is a fringe benefit, something we get but not something we aim for. What Jesus came to do is to change the world, to bring the "kingdom of God" into our midst.
What do Christians need to do and to be in order to continue what Jesus started and wants to keep going in us?
