Could somebody tell me about these cincy riots...i guess they acquitted some white police officer who shot a black dude....????

The actual shooting and riots took place in April of this year. The officer went on trial last week I think and they of course found him not guilty of obstructing justice and some other menial charge.

Last night there were isolated episodes of bottling throwing, minor fires, etc. . .nothing compared to the major damage in April but at midnight the mayor set a city-wide curfew for last night and tonight for GROWN folks as well as minors, ain't that some ish?. . .if people behave then I guess they get to go out and kick it this weekend, if not the city will be on lock once again and they will arrest violators like they did in April. . ..the curious thing is that plenty of white people were out during the curfew but were given warnings, if anything at all. They're a group planning to see if that's the case this time around.

They got around that one by saying that the police were concentrating on the 'hot spots' which actually translated to being Black or enforcing the curfew in predominantly Black neighborhoods.

Ummm, not unless you want to be arrested and charged with rioting. . .

The curious thing is that yesterday BEFORE the verdict was announced the police were out in riot gear. Kinda makes you think that they knew he's was going to be acquitted already.
