Is there a such thing as a "Hush underground"

It has come to my attention that there is suppose to a "hush underground" This is where all the rumors about people on the hush starts and these are the people that are causing soo much drama on this board. What's is also very interesting is that I am suppose to be one of the ring leaders!!! I know nothing about a "hush underground" and I know nothing about a scheme to spread rumors about other hush members. Know I will admit that I have been privialage to be involved with group chats with a number of hush members, but there was not much talk about the hush or anybody on the hush. People there are better things to talk about than whats going on the hush. Gosh

Is it anybody out there that can shed some light on the "hush underground"??

Bright That what I am thinking to, I don't know about a hus underground-but there are so many off and on line close relationship/friendship theres definitely a lot of gossip being spreaded.

The shit if funny to me most of the time, i guess the hush wouldn't be te hush if it wasn't any drama going on, SO continue.......

I was under the impression that hush members who had AOL or Yahoo or BlackPlanet or something like that just had chats outside of the Hush.

As for the rumors that start there. I don't know. I've never taken part in any chat sessions outside of the Hush.

If, and I do say IF, there are people spreading rumors about people, it really does need to stop.

But I feel that regardless of whether there's a rumor mill or not, the best way, no, actually the ONLY way to stop such a mill is for people to discredit or take with a major grain of salt the things they hear.

Like my Pops would tell me "son always consider the source, that'll tell you all you really need to know about the truth".

the underground....i too have wondered about this...

okay.......see......this is EXACTLY how rumors get started.....

on the old board before admin started chargin, there was a thread in which admin was TEASIN ALLLLLLLLLLLL of us who have yahoo and aol messenger and he PLAYFULLY called it a hush underground secret society (or some shit!) and he and i went back and forth and it was HELLA funny! I wish I could find it so ya'll can read it.

There are chats that are held. People are invited however the entire Hush is not invited. No one who is not a member of the Hush is invited.

Conversations are held. In those conversations things are said.
The Hush is not the only topic but it is a topic.

I don't know if there's a scheme to start rumors. Actually I doubt that there is. But when people talk, rumors start. That's the way life is.

I would never believe that Hush members meet to discuss everything but the Hush. :rolleyes: When I've met Hush members in person, or talked in IM or on the phone the Hush is not the only topic of conversation but it eventually comes up because it is the link that brought the people talking together.

So if people are meeting they are discussing the Hush. Are they starting rumors? Who knows...and who cares.

I've heard plenty of rumors about Hush members, some that were outed on the board, some that haven't and I've never been to a chat so the rumor mill runs much deeper than any Hush underground.

By the way Mr Famu...I did hear you were the Harriette Tubman of the underground...but that's just a rumor too. ;) LOL

Good morning first off and happy Sunday to you all! :)

Now i can say that i do have YAHOO IM and i start a chat at times with those that are on my buddy list. When i do the chat i invite everyone on my buddy list. There are folks from many different list for ex. GTBF, SF, HUSH, UT, DOUGS LOOP, SOTM and othe personal friends.

We talk about any and everything....mainly to pass the time. Topics include kids, sex, foods, work, cars, games, birthdays, sex, baby daddies and mommies, relationships....whatever. If you're on the list you're invited..I even announce it in my message. Some folks decline because they are busy and some accept and invite others. Now because YAHOO only allows so many buddies, i can have everyone listed, wish i could but i can't.

Now if you'd like to be apart of a CHAT than just add my name seductive608 and when I start a chat....you are welcome.

Everyone knows that i don't exclude anyone.....some folks are even like, who are you, you weren't here last week.

It's all in fun. It's a quick dialogue, with no harm done what so ever.

Well, I guess you are my co-conductor because I talk to you in AIM just as much as I talk to anybody else and just like you said above the hush is not the only topic, but it is a topic.:rolleyes:

The bottom line people is that memebrs need to keep there personal offline life to themselves. The only reason that rumors are gettting out is because people don't know how to keep there mouth shut. :beating

This underground business is a rumour like Hula Sista said, that probably got started off something Admin said, and it has no real basis. We all do a little IMing, but we air so much on the boards itself, I can't see what the underground buzz can be about. It can't be nearly as interesting. My next thought, of course is that I know I am not being discussed in any of it, so I couldn't care less. When I was at work, I would leave the Hush board on, but minimized for hours, as one of a few windows I go between, depending on what was happening at work. I never scanned the threads continuously enough to get a sense that the board is a buzz or not. I haven't been on this board for about ten days, and I doubt anyone noticed. You see, now why did I just say that.... to get attention? Posting on this board has affected my sense of interpersonal communication. Emotions like insecurity come through after so much time has been put into a place like this. I post on others, but this one, this board has become much closer to my heart. Except for those of us that have met in person, and that has been briefly in the scheme of things, most of this communication is virtual, and its a trip to see how we can even begin to think in terms of camps of gossip, like there is a watercooler group, a lunch at the same table in the cafeteria group, a drink after work group, etc... There is no "underground", just an ongoing need to assess the state of the Hush, where it fits in our lives, and stir things up again to keep it interesting.

I do think that the Sinnah segment needs to either be done away with, or made truly anonymous and taken for better or for worse. If anything has been a source for discord, it's been that segment. Maybe it should at least be something only open to those that get a certain posting volume, so it won't be at the hands of immature newbies undeserving to rant. I would like to see it stay. It's the wild card that keeps us on our toes, reminds us that there is utopia in only one place... the true "promised land", and we should be living our lives trying to pass the upcoming admissions test.
