Does anyone know how to apply for a grant

I am interested in obtaining a business grant for my daycare, but I am not sure how to find the appropriate resources or avenues to go to. Does anyone know the proper procedure to apply for a grant? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I tried to look on the www but the only good info I found was several books that I had to purchase on the subject.

venture capitalists...usually for large sums of money

i think the first thing to do is go to sba...only because no one's gonna give you loot without some type of business plan...i think they're at sba.com
also, seek out the minority business association, women's business association, etc.

your local city hall should be able to help you as well
