IF you are interested in creating a word document with ALL my poems from this site.

Let me know how you would do it....send email to mylescd@yahoo.com.

1. What your plan is
2. How do you handle collaborations
3. etc...

The best plan will win the contract.....

05-24-2003, 08:04 AM
right...

going back as far on the hush as possible...

finding the poems

puttin them in a good format

save

send to que.

que sends

$25.

very very very simple.

OhSoPrecious

How come Que can't do that for himself~??? :blah: :p

You gonna have to come up off more than $25 for that type of thing brotherman.

At least $50. . .I'm not in the running or anything but for what I could do in my amatuerish efforts, I would be asking that for the minimum.

Kinda like when someone types a research or term paper it's charged per word or page. You want someone to compile your works. . .I'm also assuming, you want them to correct your grammatical errors without changing your words.

That's more than $25 worth of work in my opinion.

But then again. . .I could just be overpriced. . .which is another case for why I ain't doing it.

BTW, I will consult for $25 on what you could have someone do. . .lol

I got a great idea:

Que goes back as far on the hush as possible...

Que finding his own poems

Que puts them in a good format
(Only Que knows what format is good for him)

Que save

Que sends to que.

que sends Que 25 bucks.

Que goes and buys US savings bond.

Que becomes rich in 25 years (
when bonds mature)

:D

(Just kiddin' dude)

I did a quick check and came up with 40 pieces of work, that included combining some together. . .

It could be more because I didn't really stop and read more closely to see if the separate posts/poems could or needed to stand alone and therefore, really weren't part of the original poem.

I hope that make sense because that's part of the editting process. . .making sure you are on the same track start to finish with your thoughts.

There were also the "duet poems" and the "compilations poems" that Tastey, Hula, SwtJ and others participated in. . .you'd have to get their permission to use those.

This is looking more like a book project that Hula outlined previously in one of the threads.

que90nek
05-25-2003, 10:50 AM
i didnt ask for editting....

i asked for simple compilation.

it's really not that difficult...or serious.

folks will make a mountain out of this....

when the reality is that it really can be done in less than an hour...

$25 an hour.....

not bad.

que90nek

part of my reply was to a deleted thread.

i only want the compilation for PERSONAL use....

not to be published.

u know...whats interesting is that...this is projected as a BAD thing...

i could easily give my money to some organization that doesnt know me from adam.....

perhaps that would be ...better.

I deleted my response because I was just fed up. If we continue to devalue our own expertise, how can we expect others to value us?

This is similar to Meelahs's thread about doing someone's taxes and then they don't want to pay. Or folks selling products and people trying to bargain down the damn price.

What you initially asked for was basically a proposal, research and formatting. Figure in the time Bright took to find the 40 poems (so far), the time to write the plan and the time to format the document and you are already over one hour.

Doubt that you can find an organization that would do this for $25...Perhaps my mistake is looking at this through a professional's eye...

que90nek
05-26-2003, 01:29 PM
seems like the more professional your eye...

the easier it would be.

or the less "work" would be done in the planning phase...because u already have a good idea of how this type of thing is done.

others may have to come up with that idea.

if it were me....

and i could use an extra $25 i would have said

"que, i would collect your poems chronologically. i'd put the collaborations distinguished by color....i'll send it to u in word format."

i don't mean to devalue anybody's livelihood.....

but i didnt know this is what folks do....collect other people's poems from a message board and put them together...i didnt know.

i am not sure why u r fed up.....but *hushhug* i don't think it has very much to do with this thread.

I am hardly fed up with this board. What I am fed up with is your pseudo-inquisitive, know-it-all attitude. I hardly know how you have the time to be a doctor, lawyer, nutritionist, technical writer, mind reader and, on occasion, a woman. Because whatever the topic, you know more than anyone else on the planet. Oh yeah, and the snide asides you cover up with fake concern - the "more professional your eye" comment?

I knew I should have stayed outta this thread, so now, I'll bounce.

que90nek
05-27-2003, 05:07 AM
yeah. u should have stayed out.

you have nothing to add to it.

you are not the one for the job.

so why would you come in the thread?

and then u have the nerve to take simple comments and victimize yourself....

please.

dulce
05-27-2003, 11:16 AM
:fu Que - you're damn right I am not the one for the job. And I am not losing a wink of sleep over it. Screw you saying that I have nothing to add. As usual, you only hear what you want. Well, I'm not using my "Que answer card" anymore, so too freakin' bad if you don't like it. You are so laughable to me. If you can't run shit, then you shut down. Like you said, you don't have nair power on this board (since you made sure to start a thread about it) so whether I stay or go is not under your control.

I guess my reason for being here is no different from you coming into a thread about relaxers or giving your opinion on the pain of childbirth. Neither of which you have experienced...well, maybe you have relaxed your hair...

Unlike you, I don't need to start a poll to figure out what the hell to do and how many people like me.

I got your victim right here..NOW!

que90nek
05-27-2003, 01:26 PM
yes.

que90nek
05-27-2003, 01:49 PM
mmmmkay...

enough time has elapsed for you to take my prior post and turn it in to something negative that has to do with dulce....

i am sure you will be able to find something about those three letters that offends u...

Y - you have purposefully tried to offend me. i have and will never do the same to you.

E - everyone is wondering what is wrong with you...and what i did to you.

S - sorry that you are going through whatever you are going through. i hope that you can take this victory over me ...this telling me off...again and again...i hope that you can take some comfort in that. i concede.

you win!

dulce
05-27-2003, 03:35 PM
As usual you don't want to hear what's being said to you. There is no other issue - it's you. I have held my tongue for most of my time on the board but that time is up. As far as "everyone" wondering what's what - if they wanna know, they can ask me. So deal one on one. No need to involve "everybody".

I told you straight-up how I feel. If you are offended by honesty, then so be it.

It's not about winning and you should know that...

que90nek
05-28-2003, 03:41 AM
oh...

my fault.

how bout you start another thread.

make the title

"What I REALLY think about QUE"

*is this dejavu...again?*

to be honest...u r the MAIN reason I started that thread about me leaving....

if you want me gone...i will leave.

dulce
05-28-2003, 12:37 PM
Do what you need to do - you should be able to make you own decision. I have nothing to do with that. Frankly, it's a shame that you would let ANYONE have that much power over whether or not you stay on the board, a community you generally enjoy and have a longstanding bond with.

No need to start a thread because there was no need to get other's input about my feelings. I own 'em, don't regret them and I said what I had to say.

Does everybody have to like you on this board? If one of the many here doesn't, why do you care? We should be able to co-exist without anyone feeling like they have to go. This is not the first time some of the HushFam has had it out with each other. Thought you were stronger than that...

que90nek

Tastey

Shouldn't you contact the person you hired to do it.

que90nek
07-27-2003, 08:02 AM
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

Some person here is 8 times richer than my initial offer. Thanks Again!

lesson: Doing simple tasks for your friends may pay off for you in the end!

Brightness

Any other tasks you need performed?

que90nek
07-27-2003, 11:44 AM
but that was my point...

this person did this out of the goodness of their heart....instead of complaining about how much money they were gonna get.

sometimes when we do things out of the goodness of our heart....we are rewarded.:beer

Tastey
07-28-2003, 05:08 AM
I didn't complain about the amount I only asked if it could be more because the job DESERVED more.

But I also explained that since I was working OVERTIME on my own job to keep my head above water I did not have TIME to do this for you...out of the goodness of my heart.

However since I NEEDED the money I would MAKE the time.

I think it's classic asshole of you to get on here and throw that in people's face.

It's WRONG to offer someone less than they are worth to do a job then APPLAUD someone who chose to do it for nothing.

That should have been between you and that person but you already threw that in my face when I offered to do the job that you had someone GOOD ENOUGH to do it for free.

I guess your ass will get SAINTHOOD for this one.:blah:

...you accomplished your goal, but what was the purpose of telling us that the person who did the job for you is 8 times richer??? was there a REAL point to this?? maybe it's just my thinking...

que90nek
07-29-2003, 03:59 PM
absolutely there was a point....

and i've stated it twice...or more.

"sometimes when we do things out of the goodness of our heart....we are rewarded."

i just caught a lot of flack for doing this post to begin with....and everybody wanted to say how i was devaluing this and that....but the way i saw it....the value of friendship is a far more expensive item than the poetry.
