I notice that a lot of people (including Black people) like to put down folks just because they are different. Just because a person is of a different race, nationality, sexual orientation, or whatever, doesn't mean a person can go on and harrass them, call them names, etc. How would you feel if someone bothered you or threatened you because of what you are?
We as Black people know what it's like to be mistreated because the color of our skin. People who are racist do not have any kind of heart or soul. They manifest their self-hatred on to others. They have an inability to use their brain to their fullest potential. C'mon, y'all, don't stoop down to their level.
I heard from one of my co-workers that last weekend, an Arab store worker was harrassed by a Black man because he was mad at the whole tragedy. Some other cats joined him. That made me so upset. First of all, just because a group of Muslims or Arabs are terrorists doesn't mean the entire race or people who follow religion are like that. That's wrong to prejudge. Secondly, there is no reason to show any hatred towards anyone like that. Self defense is one thing, but to harrass someone for no reason, especially when they did not do a thing to you is ridiculous.
I'm not trying to preach to anyone, but this is just my opinion.
