Based on a point Que made in a recent post about the misspelling of curse words being used prompted me to ask, does misspelling the word(s) make it more "politically correct" to say? Or is it a more polite way to express an explinative????

For the simple fact that I don't like to curse. . but I do. . and don't feel comfortable saying / typing it. . so I end up mis-spelling it~!!

If I am going to curse, I curse. I don't think it makes a difference how it is spelled, to me the meaning is the same. but if I am going to say it, I am going to spell it correctly...on many sites, misspelling it is the only way it can be said.

~Ohso... I hear what you are saying but just cause you misspell it doesn't change the fact that you aren't cursing. In your heart you know if you type phuck you...it still is fuck you. SO why even bother "trying" to change it. Not cursing at all makes more sense don'tcha think???;)

maybe the mispelling will be incorporated into our "new groovy vernacular",,,THEN lil' white babies'll be spelling it that way....THEN it'll be in webster's...and do you think YOU'LL get the credit???? i think not...

Form of habit for me. A board I used to post on daily prohibitted cursing, so the words were played with a tad to get the point across. After typing them that way for so long, it has become the way I type them. No hidden agendas. If I say Fucc you, I mean it just the same as fuck you, but being the swwweeet person I am, you will never see that from me. :D

My Ex and I had to develop this whole alternate language because his job put up some strong filters (after he got there, lol so we say we made them do that) on the email. Well we wanted to keep talking the way we were talking and so we started the whole misspelling of words.
to me they have the same dayum meaning, lol

It's kinda like censoring them to me a little bit.
Sometimes, you wanna say it, but you don't say IT.
So I use it to soften the tone or language of what I'm saying somewhat.
