View Full Version : I want to be saved
sinnah
09-23-2001, 11:53 AM
My heart is so very heavy. I'm tired of living a sinner's life, tired of worshipping Satan and giving him the victory. God has been too good to me. I don't know why I keep letting Satan hold me back whenever I'm in church and want to give my life to Christ. I don't want to sleep with another woman's husband anymore, I don't want men calling me just for booty calls anymore, I want to be saved and live a life as a christian. HE has been dealing with me for a long time now, and I am ready to surrender all to him, my blessed Saviour.
I posted as sinnah because I am truly a sinner that has been living a life as a "good" person and I realize that just being "good" won't get me into heaven. Those of you that know the true word of prayer, please pray for this sinner that I might do those things my heart desires.

man, sinnah...i think you've come to the wrong place to be confessing...i mean, if you WERE wanting to be saved, you have to admit it...OPENLY...plus, we do a little too much sinning on and around this board...you know, we ain't right up in here - not entirely - i don't know what kind of help you are searching for in this lil' confessional of ours, but you just as well-off as the rest of these folk...
one day, i believe we will change, but, to tell you the truth, folk just ain't fit for telling you how to get saved in here...

I was not going to respond to this, but TBH you are so on point to it is not even funny. Sinnah, please take these words of wisdom that TBH has bestowed upon you. If you want to be saved confess your heart and desire to God first and then go find you a good christian church and confess your desire there. On the Hush is not the place for you to find Jesus. I wish you God speed and I will also pray for you.

Being saved is simple...
1) 1 John 9 tells us "if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins".
2) The Word tells us that "He will cast your sins into the sea of forgetfulness"
3) Romans 10:9 tells us "that if you confess with our mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is your Lord and savior, ye shall be saved".
We were all sinners. The Word tells us that "we are saved not by works, but by grace"!
Sinner, there is nothing you can do to earn salvation. It's His free gift. It was purchased by the blood of Christ. When Christ saw the adulterous woman and she washed His feet with her hair, he said, "you're sins are forgiven thee, go forth and sin no more". That's it sinner. Believe that He is Lord, confess your sin and turn away from it and you're saved at that very instant! Then go forth in your life and sin no more.

I Again Sinnah I advise you to to seek a Minister, a Pastor, a Bishop, etc. in your area that you can trust that will show you the way to God through his promise in Jesus Christ. Don't e-mail anybody on this board to ask for advice that is not the thing to do. You only be left confused:confused:

are ya'll implying that there can be no christians on this board? granted...we air our dirty laundry...our less than perfections!...but that doesn't make us less christian....and less able to share the Gospel...the GOOD NEWS that Jesus Died for YOUR sins and rose again!
GEEZ! Just because a person's light might not shine as brightly doesnt mean that it isnt shining at all!

Do you disagree with what I posted Mr. Famu?
Why does she have to see a minister or pastor to get saved?
They can't save her anymore than you or I can. Only accepting Christ as her personal Lord and Savior can do this. What I posted is straight from Romans. It's not my opinion. It's right out of the Word.
I agree with Que completely. Just because people air their dirty laundry or make mistakes on this board, in no way whatsoever, implies that they are not Christians. This board has served a wonderful purpose and is worth every dollar spent and minute of time invested if ONE person is led to Christ as a result of it.
When did being a Christian mean being perfect? I never understood this. It doesn't. It means acknowledging that a perfect man walked on this earth and led a sinless life and died for you. His Blood washed your sins away.
Paul was the perfect example of this. He killed Christians, hunted them down, persecuted them, stoned the apostle Steven. Yet when he received salvation he told Roman guards "We have harmed no man". What? He harmed no man? No, not in the eyes of God. He was released of his sins. He was dead to his former self.
If we have to be perfect to help someone reach salvation, then God has given us an impossible mission when He tells us to spread the gospel, heal the sick, and lead the lost to salvation.
In The New Testament it states "Whereby sin entered the world by one man's offense (Adam's) we are saved by one Man's sacrifice (Jesus Christ)".
Sinnah, ask Christ to come into your life. Repent of your sins. Leave that sinful lifestyle behind. Acknowledge Him as your personal Lord and Savior and YOU SHALL BE SAVED!

but what if she doesn't know where in the Bible to go?
All I'm trying to say is that helping to minister to people and lead them to salvation, not save them, because we can't do that, but help lead them to it is what we as Christians are supposed to do isn't it?

You know what DNS, sometimes there is a thing called divine intervention and maybe you should just let that person pick up their bible and see what happens. There are times when the Lord knows the heart condition and he will be sure that his sheep get the proper food at the proper time.

as a christian...i would be DEAD wrong if GOD directed somebody to post this post and I not say anything!!! perhaps the divine intervention is US! God uses doctors to deliver babies...God does not do everything through some type of unforeseen miracle.

Que, I wouldn't go so far as saying that. . it's just that. . to me. . the very ones that claim to be saved. . . don't act like it. . . sometime~!!
I know it ain't nothing but SATAN~!!!! :( He gets the best of us. . . when we allow him~!!!!

This is the problem that I had with your post earlier. You showed her where to go and what were the first steps to being saved. However, u made it seem that if she confess that Jesus was lord and confess all her sins that she would automatically go to heaven and that is biblically incorrect It is much more detailed than that. I feel like this, if you are going to tell it then tell it right and be complete about it and if you can not do that then leave it alone and lets somebody else do it.
You told her biblical truths I am not disputing that. You gave her the ball, but you did not tell her the play.

Okay, all jokes aside I think that you made a very valuable point Oh-So. I think that the mistake that a lot of hushmembers have made on this board is call themselves christian, but act totally different on this board(I count myself chief among these) If you are christian I think that it should show in all things and that includes the posts here on the hush. Like TBH said, "as a christian, you should be more aware of the threads you participate in".

won't do it because you, as a christian, know what i am talking about...most of the time you get on this board, you sin...don't act new...que over in sex talking about cream and shit, tastey over in poetry calling folk coward bitches, mr. famu...well, he's already admitted it...dns over there not being so christian-like in his dealings with the teck/delicious threads...give me a fuckin' break!
ya'll getting too damn phoney up in here!
DAMN!

09-27-2001, 07:26 AM
according to the NEW CHRISTIAN THEOLOGY OF TBH
1. One should never talk about sex
2. One should not be on the hush
3. Sin is defined as anything pleasing to others, rather than anything displeasing to God.
You can KEEP your religion...and i'll keep mine.

before a hush "holy war" starts up in here,I think it's important to remember that none of us is perfect-whether Christian or not. That being said, what's wrong with an individual witnessing to someone who wants to get to know the Lord better ?. It's up to that person who wants to be saved to then establish their own relationship w/God,so what someone else is doing or how their walk w/God goes, shouldn't be your concern unless you're praying for them..... We could all judge each other all day long, but what is the point???

the duality of man. I want to go to heaven but i like hennessy & strippers. Am I not worthy of salvation? We are created in God's own image. The old testament ( eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth) is different from the new testament( forgive your brother 72 times 72) but both the word of God.
