Look, every day I hear about an new fund were you can send money to. This shyt is starting to get on my got-dayum nervers!
They must have 20-30 funds that you can donate to to help. Hell, I'm gonna open the white pages and start calling old ladies and beg for money form my own fund.
I mean if I'm confused, then 1/2 the contry must be. What ever happened to sending money to the Red Cross?
I think some of these funds are NOT legitimate and some fools are gonna get caught very soon.

I gave at one of my jobs (bank) even though the other (retail store) is doing it too. . .they both are too high profile to cheat anybody without there being a lot of backlash from angry citizens not to mention the IRS.

All the funds say "disaster relief" but what exactly does that mean?
I saw on the news a woman who husband was one of the firefighters. They have 2/3 kids (I can't remember which)
Anyway through the fire dept she has $100,000 life insurance, and she will receive his salary for the rest of her natural life, as well as Social Security (not really much but it's there)
She's asking for money from the fund to send her kids to college.
Now this is the biggest tragedy to ever hit this country I agree but is it our responsibility to educate every child affected? My son's college fund has $100 dollars in it. So hopefully if this war don't wipe out the govt he's on scholarships and grants.
I think this money should help those who didn't have life insurance or had small policies, who won't get lifetime benefits. This woman will be all right. What about the one who had a $10,000 policy, no other benefits and 5 kids. She needs the money just to survive.
It's all getting confusing and I've heard reports that some of them are indeed BOGUS. :(
