Hello everyone, Friday, September 21, 2001, most of the major networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, BET, UPN, FOX and many more) will be doing something like a telethon to raise money for all those touched in the "Attack on the United States". You can read a lil more about it by clicking on the link http://abc.go.com/primetime/specials/heroes/, http://www.cbs.com/specials/heroes/ or www.TRIBUTETOHEROES.ORG this is the official site. I thought everyone would like to know this. I believe it will be on a lot of the radio stations as well.

For those of you that want to contribute and just didn't know where, here is a good place and you know it's legit.

I for one will be calling in to donate and I'm gonna offer a challenge to the HUSH family. So when they say Tina Finley is challenging all her friends in HUSH land, I expect someone to meet my challenge....not saying what I'll donate but it'll be something. I know it's going to a good cause.

So if you have a minute, take the time, it could have been any of us. Speaking of which, I have a personal story to tell about what happened on September 11, 2001.

I get to work and my sister calls me to tell me of the first plane hitting the world trade center. My computer had just logged on. Well the minute she told I went into the Washington Post website...all the had was breaking news, no real details yet, no story, just plane hits the world trade center.

So I sent a mass email out informing folks of breaking news like I always do. Well, someone I know emailed me back right away and said thanks, I'm out. I just thought they were leaving for work or something and said ok. Anyway, I didn't hear from this person till this past weekend, telling me thank you and that my email saved there life. See, she was in the 2nd tower when the 1st plane hit. She said she knew to get out because of what happened years ago. Well when plane #2 hit, she was damn near out the building and pretty much safe. She has lost a lot of co-workers but she is thankful to be alive. If she would have never been sitting at her desk waiting for my daily quote and reading her emails she may not be here today. The power of email.....I finally spoke with her this morning and she is holding on but she is hurting. You could just hear it. We joked for a few minutes about my emails and we vowed to meet one day....see I have never met her but I know I will now, someday...of course I'll be driving....lol

Folks, let's not forget about the telethon and my challenge!

Thanks - Tina

I don't see it like that....Email saved her life. I'm glad she is okay....Just think, she could have been missing and i would have never known.......

See my quotes are a good thing.
