when i was in my mama's stomach, she lost a lot of blood and the doctor's told her that she was going to lose me if the bleeding didn't stop. My mother prayed to Jesus and said something to the effect of "if you give me my son, I'll give him to You". Well, obiviously the bleeding stopped. I remember consciously deciding to be a Christian since I was 4 or 5. I preached out of my little children's Bible to my great-grandmother Mama Janie as a child. When I was a very small kid, I thought I was going to be a preacher. I've always had a love for the Word of God. Was I always a good Christian? NO. I mean, I've done some things that are straight from the gutter baby! The gutter ya heard!

Have I doubted if it was all true? Of course I have. I studied all of the major religions at one point, trying to make heads or tails of which one I could get down with. Then I prayed to God for direction on which way to go. I went to an Easter service and cried and cried and cried. I couldn't stop. Tears kept coming down my face. I knew right then that I was a joint-heir with Christ.

Have I lived like a straight-up heathen during certain periods of my life? Yes. But oh the Blood of Jesus. I thank Him for it, because without it, I'd have been done for long ago.
