Will you fly again?

if so, what do you want to see in the airport and on the airplane to make you feel safe?

I have yet to get on a plane! I was scared before this and i'm petrified now.

My chances of ever getting on a plane are much lesser.

Now if they got that man from the country who is head of security of planes called "LL" or something, than i might.

They said his flights have not been hijacked since he took over and that has been over 40 years.

You see they have called him to the US for a meeting. Should have been done it.

I've never flown but I was checking airfares to Va for Winter Hushnic before this happened and it's still a possibility now.

I've read alot of "near miss" stories since this happened about people who were running late for no reason, overslept for unknown reason, 1 lady changed flights due to price, another got to the airport early and switched to an earlier flight...etc etc.

I feel that if a person was meant to survive this tragedy by the Grace of God they did. If they were not they didn't. I'm sure there were plenty of people in the WTC and the Pentagon and on the street who have never flown. It didn't stop them from being swept up in the tragedy.

I plan on continuing to fly. I may be more alert on the planes now, but I will continue to fly. I think the should put an armed officer on every flight( I know that would be costly, but still). I was watching the news today and they were @ San Diego's airport detaining people of color(not just Blacks) based on a red flag in their flight profile. They interview a woman from India who said she understood they were just doing their job and she didn't mind having her luggage checked. I don't feel airports/airlines, should single out ANY group of people. Any race could be a potinial highjacker:rolleyes:

eventually...i will be okay about it...

they will have to keep the security alert as high as it is now so that i can continue to find my grounds of comfort.

thank goodness my name is so english-like that no red flags will com up against my profile when i check in at the air port.

what are they saying now? i assume you have to arrive at the airport 3 hours in advanced so that they can have time to check your baggages....just an assumption...

I will continue to fly.. I will probably be nervous at the beginning.. but the increased security and a lot of prayer will ease my mind..

I'm not going to stop flying because of what happened. I'm just not going no where near the middle east no time soon.

I believe that they have lots of Gun-toting police/security throughout the airport. There is also talk about having air-marshalls on board...these are gun carrying agents...But having a gun on a plane can be detrimental to everyone's health....unless the gun is loaded with rubber bullets...

air marshalls are a deterrant...
bottom line is...that air marshall is a highly trained expert marksman...if he misses or the bullet goes through...i hope u have on your seat belt...but even still its a lot better than crashing into a buildin....

Well I guess the air marshall on flights is a GO. My sup, nephew is a military cop, and he rec'd his orders yesterday telling him tat will be is new job ASAP. he only 23 with a new wife and 6 month old daughter, so of course is wife is terrified.

We will see how it all unfolds. One of my military friends had mentioned they were throwing around statements about opening up te draft. Has anyone heard anything about that?!?!?!

the draft is VERY VERY far down the line....
if we are drafting that means that we are gettin our ass kicked overseas.

Air marshalls normally wear plain clothes....
