I just realized I have a jealous streek.

I hate this part of myself.

I can't wait to be delivered from it. or learn how to NOT let things get to me.

...inclined to be jealous...i can pretend to be to make others feel validated if necessary...usually, i just don't give a fuck!

I know what you mean Hula...happens to me sometimes too.
Almost all of the time, it's about a material possession. I have to snap myself back to reality and put my priorities in check real quick. Gotta put that H2, slamming new designer outfit, lush home in perspective...even though sometimes I want it so bad I can taste it! I pray to be delivered too..but at least now I'm recognizing when I get that jealous twitch and I quickly try to resist and flee!

The first step to deliverance is identifiying and admitting the problem. Change that negative into a positive, instead of being jealous be INSPIRED!!

Jealousy aka Envy isn't as evil as you may think. In some forms, it is a positive inspiration to endeavor to improve one's own situation.

If it is an angry bitterness, the kind where the jealous person holds ill will towards those they are jealous of, that is not healthy.

Read Iyalna Vanzant Value in the Valley that helped me realize why I felt the way that I did at certain times. It made know when I was appraching a "valley" and how to handle it and I was able to see where the feelings were coming from and how to adjust my attitude to the situation.

I think the only time I can truely say I have been/become jealous is when I was in a relationship and things were not adding up... stories were putting told.... lies being said...... If I felt threatened by someone else while in the relationship

I think I've been envious more so than jealous. . .envy is more passive in most cases than jealousy.

Jealous is something that you can get over. Just find out what it is about that thing, person, or whatever it is that is making you jealous. I'm jealous because I'm not in a relationship, and when I see others that are it makes me envious and I wish that could be me. So, maybe its just a part of human nature.
