post a link on your web pages, I did that and I know there is at least one member here because of seeing that link.
I try to post it everywhere. And when I post on other sites, I try to make a link to the hush part of my signature.

I told a couple of Bros about the Hush and their response:
Nah, to much drama.
So oh well, lol lol
I think that men are harder to keep on the internet as someone stated above.
I think we should have a blitz of some of the people on here who never post. Go thru the list and PM them and urge them to come on back.

if you look at how many women post....vs how many men post...

Well you know I asked and basically they said that
(1) to much shit gets started
(2) nothing but sex to talk about
(3) females live for drama
(4) and did I say drama
But of course this is the internet of new. The thrill has certainly worn off for alot of people. Unfortunately men have come away with the bad misconception that they use the internet for thier personal hoaisis and that women have just taken the drama to a new medium.
I have a friend who is stalked weekly on the net. He doesn't even come on the IM anymore and that's a shame. I actually thought it was stretching it at first but he sent me samples and he's like "hello I don't want you! what happen to just meeting people etc"
I think the group thing in general has started to run it's course - look at Yahoo they were poppin then they went to the new format and lost alot of people and now alot of the groups are just dead!
I applaud this group for at minimum thru all the levels and there are many of bullshit, people still feel the desire to interact. It's like 'forced unity' on a certain degree.

I've never invited a man to the Hush but I do know a few who've left and their reasons were
1. Too much sex talk
2. Too much drama
3. Too slow
4. Too much competition among the women for attention and the men for attention.

lol@#4 ... that's a good one!
could it be that the folks who give excuses like 1 and 2 are the ones running because they bring this type of interaction in their own personal life and don't want to 'deal' with it on the internet? or... they think themselves above 'us'? or that they just don't know how to communicate properly??????????? (me thinks it's all three)

Iono Hula. You know I'm full of drama and on every board I belong on I have drama.
But it doesn't make me leave.
I may take a hiatus...but never leave.

Not sure because I have a drama magnet on the net but in my personal life, it ain't evennnn like that.
Also maybe some of the reasons are if a man doesn't work in a job or occupation where he is on the computer or has become accustomed to typing - why get on the net since it's all about typing, lol
As well as alot of people don't know how to translate what's in the brain to the mouth for speech so imagine getting it down in the written format.
I mean this group is rife with misunderstandings because you have to try to get your point across and someone has to try to intrepret it.
I've always held the belief that men who spend time on the net in groups, actively participating are definately geeky to a certain degree and left handed, lol and I don't mean that in a negative way but they are just more adept at the expression of ones self in this format.

gotcha! i've met my share of slow typers. i don't know why, but, i am surprised each time a guy my age or older gets online and says he's never owned a computer or used the net!

I did my part and invited a brother. . .
I've been on board for some time, and I'll share my observations.
If you are looking for something new, you ain't going to find it here. The convo is limited to below the neck and above the knee.
The topics that most brothers are interested in are not discussed:Money, Job, and Sports.
There are too many tabu topics.
Folks won't touch on any topic that pushes them out of their comfort zone.
Last but not least, it's a woman's forum.

It's obvious you an't reading those post about JOB, MONEY or POLITICS, but then again they are far and few in between.
That's why I don't post much any more.
And as far as your last question about why I'm here, every now and then I see something I'd like to comment on and so I do.
Edit:
Another thought, this is the only board that I've been associated with. I 've yet to go to any other board and post. The internet thing is something I do when I'm board on the JOB.
So I guess when I stop posting here, its done for me.

...interesting...you have very few posts in any of the aforementioned topics...so if it's convo in those areas that you are looking for, why don't YOU post some threads that people can comment on or converse with you about??
