Fam,if you just started dating someone and they were already asking to borrow money from you ,would you be bothered or just offer to help them out of a temporary bind? Would it matter if it was a small amount or not?

I don't loan money (even a quarter for the pay phone) unless I have been with someone a looooooooong time and I feel that this person has proven to be someone that I can trust would not take advantage of me.
At the beginning stages of dating there is no way to know that. I'm sorry for that person's circumstances however if they are trustworthy then someone they've known alot longer than me would know that and offer to assist.

Nope, I am sorry, I wouldn't be able to help them. I have been burned like that before, and I am not going to let it happen again.

If we talking something under $10, if i have it to spare, i'd give it....really would depend on there reason.
EX - we out somewhere, credit card expired and had not activated new and they need gas....i'd be like sure.
Now if we talking over that...i'd be a lil hesitant.

I don't really think I would. . .if it is placed on my heart to offer someone money without knowing their circumstances that's one thing. . . but not for someone who tries to butter you up with a 'hard-luck story". I am usually sitting there thinking you want to hear hard times, pull up a chair. . .by the time I'm done with them they'd be offering me the loan.
