Are ya'll ready?

I for one am about to get called back in....since I am in the Inactive Reserve.

They first call the reserves up...then the inactive reserve...then they start draftin!

As a military person...you are always ready to lay down your life...so that ya'll...can continue to walk up and down you own streets...continue to be free.

I have a co-worker who says she has a friend who used to be in the military. He is not reserve active or inactive. But she said that he says he got a call at 4am Thursday morning putting him on standby.

Now the female who told me this is an airhead and quite possible could have wrong information but if she is right why would he have been called so soon, if at all.

I always thought it was as you said reserve active, reserve inactive, then the draft. ?????

* Dusting off the AK 47* If I have to defend our country I would because i realize no matter bad this country seems we have it better than most of the world. My mother or a relative could have been in the WTC & would have died because of our lifestyle.

No I ain't ready and if they did call, like i said before, it would take an act of Congress for me to get on a plane.

Question, what is the age limit?

My best friend, who is in the Navy, knows it's a matter of days for him.

We spoke last night about alot of things. He doesn't sound worried but i hear it in him. He says he's ready to do what he got to do to protect the ones he love, and if it took going to sea, then so be it. I told him don't talk like that, just go and come back so i can hear him say my name...the way only he can. :)

Honestly...I am worried about him, especially if he goes. :(

If I'm not mistaken I believe that the Army will accept someone up to age 35.

The Navy, Airforce, and Marines each have different age limits.

Also as Que said...the need.

I think if a person is over 35 and has served before, or maybe not served but has a much needed skill they COULD still be called.

No, I am not ready. Flying and guns are two things I try to avoid at all costs; even prior to all that is going on now.

My best friend, Denise for those of you who met her, is an active reservist and said she is ready to go if they need her. She said she is not worried b/c she works in the office, but that, IMO is no safer than being out on the front lines. :(

The Senate also passed a resolution authorizing the president to use force to retaliate against the terrorist attacks. The vote was 98-0.

Absolutely, positively, without a doubt, in a heartbeat. If it came down to it, they wouldn't have to draft me. I'd VOLUNTEER!!!

I'm absolutely ready to defend the right of men, women, children and little babies to feel safe in office buildings. To say what they want to say, to believe how they want to believe, to disagree with what they want to disagree with, to read what they want they want to read, to pray to whom they choose to pray, to be who they want to be. No one...and I mean NO ONE is going to take my freedom or the freedom of any free-living person in this world away and not be stood up to. I am proud of this country. Our differences and disagreements are petty at this moment and I personally have set them aside to take on an enemy that hates us because we're American.

Live Free or Die...and I mean it.
