Out of all of those people who lost their lives, I'm pretty sure some of them were of the same race as the people who did this.. They also were victims of this horrific crime...
You can't blame a specific race of people.. That's like saying all black people are drug dealers or some crazy shit like that...
Hopefully this will not get too out of hand and make people do things that they will later regret...

It has been very tense at work. There are a number of international students, and it was already uncomfortable to be around them. They speak their native language around one another, and I find it very unsettling. I got many complaints from students that there were international students standing around the tv during the news reports and the footage of the plane crashes chuckling and high fiving each other while speaking their language.
It makes it very hard to be objective. And I have caught myself being very angry at them. Many of them are concerned about being deported. I don't know, I don't think I would shed a tear if they were.

what is interesting is that a lot of those who look "arab" may be indian or may practice Hinduism or Buddism......and we still cut our eyes at them.
What a pain in the butt we humans can be towards each other......

I heard about an arab man being killed this past weekend. According to his family he isn't even a Muslim.
Hate crimes are senseless.
Well, for the first time in my life I can see the theory behind racial profiling and I can see why the states and the U.S. government is doing very little to stop it. What happen last Tuesday has really open my eyes.
African-American males are the main targets of racial profiling in the United States, but more specifically African-American males ages 18-25. Why? The African-American male age 18-25 is a very dangerous human being. He robs, steals, kills, and he is a drug dealer that destroys his on community. These are the reasons that African-Americans in this age groups are the main targets. Now I know that some may say that this is sterotyping, but if anyone of you were to go to the African-American section of your town you would see that this is very true. This is a reality that very few African-Americans want to admit too and if we were to look at the majority of the so-called racial profiling incidents agianst African-American we would see that atleast 80% of them fall into the catogory of the ages 18-25 and I am willing to bet that he has either been in trouble for stealing, robbing, or has had some type of trouble dealing drugs. With all that in mind ti s very hard for a policeman/woman to pass by a African-American age 18-25 male driving a $50,000 car without being suspecious or without looking for the usaul suspects when ever a crime has occurred. We bring this type of profiling on ourselves.
Now lets take a look at the Arab-American race. The men who did the horrendous terrorist plot against the United States were of this race. These men were professionals at the every day job in life. By American standards they would have been look upon as being successful immigrants. Most Arab-Americans fall into this catogory and thats why it is so hard to know who to trust and who to not trust. Lets be honest how many people would actually get on a plane with a Arab-American right about now? How many would feel comfortable in a parking garage after you witness a Arab-American park his Van and leave? I don't think that many on this board nor in society in general would want to take that chance. Just like the African-American community the Arab-American community has brought this bigotry own it self.
It is very true "One bad apple spoils a bunch"

With that in mind why wasn't it open season on good ole boys after Timothy McVeigh bombed that federal building in Oklahoma city???
I toounderstand the reason for racial profiling but that doesn't and never will make it right.
Also if we went by your theory of one bad apple spoiling the bunch then we can't trust nobody because just reading this board there are some evil women of all races, evil men of all races, hell there are even children who murder...you can't trust their young asses either.
Tell you what you spend your life looking over your shoulder distrusting every human being whom a member of their race has committed an awful crime.
Personally I have better things to do with my time.
The more I read your post, the more I like you...:D

Mr. Famu I think you bought into all the bullshit the all mighty cracker has been spitting. Racial profiling is wrong period. If you don't want to be profiled how can you justify someone else being profiled. That's some hypocritical bullshit. Everybody should be treated the same, if possible. I think, you know damn well the games that can be played with statistics. If I’m the only one the police are going to focus on, guess what, I’ll be the only getting caught, and sent to jail. Maybe if the police were not profiling us, they may have noticed the behavior of those guys that did that crazy shit...

That is a very interesting point. Timothy Mcveigh was one of them and when he betrayed the race they got rid of him quickly. Once they found out he was the one that did the bombing in Oklahoma City that immediatly began to seperate him from them. They got on national television and condem him openly and in public. They treated him like he was a traitor!!!! Which to them he was and thats what the African-American community should do to ours. Instead you have Rev. Jackson and Al Shaprton television trying to defend acts that young African-Americans do. Instead of distancing him/her from the race they embrace him/her. As a result, society can not tell the good apples from the bad apples because we treat them all the same. Thus, you have a vast number of African-Americans being victims of racial profilling.

Naw, CD I have not bought into anything!!!!! You and I bought know that most of the brothers and sisters in the "hood" are not right in the things they do. You have to understand that what they do in the "hood" is a reflection upon us all. Until we begin to treat those who betray our race the same way that the white folk treated Timothy Mcveigh, African-American brothers like you and me are always going to be force to prove that we are not like them.
As far as thr Arab-American race I am sorry. At this point in time they are all suspects in my eyes. I mean did yall see the pictures of these guys? They did not look like they would kill you and they did not look like they hated your guts just because you were a American. These guys were successful people who appeared to love the opportunities that were presented to them in the united States. They look nothing like criminals! Hell, the guy that the United States says is responsible for this whole act has relatives that live right here in the United States. They attend colleges like Harvard(he actuall gave money to Harvard art and law school), they are succesful professional, and businessmen. The Arab-American is a new enemy to the United States and we don't know who is on out team. Like I said earlier CD and tastey if you had a flight booked on a 747 and you were sitting in your seat preparing for take-off and 5 Arab-American walk on how would you feel?

The same way I feel when a truckload of rednecks ride by with a gunrack.
The same way I feel everytime I see a police car.
The same way I feel when I see a teenager driving a Lexus.
I feel apprehension but I don't allow that apprehension to control me. That's the difference. I don't allow it to justify me doing something that is WRONG. That's another difference.
You have some twisted facts on Tim McVeigh. He chose death. He refused appeals. There was a whole ass of people who felt he was justified and should not die for his crimes. Those anti-government groups are still intact...and GROWING in numbers.
These men went to American colleges to learn things they could not learn in the mountains of Afghanistan. Our govt sponsored them. They were busy trying to take affirmative action back from black folks and financing terrorists educations...doesn't that concern you in the least??
It's because they justified racial profiling the same way you are. And you know what? While they are busy watching all the Arabs, and the blacks, some other good ole boy is gonna sneak a bomb right past their asses.
They were so busy watching US...that they weren't paying these people any attention. Now they are so busy watching THEM that they are missing other things too.
That's what happens with racial profiling. You got your eyes focused in one direction and completely miss what you need to see.

Are you Black?
Its exactly these types of generalizations that keep our race exactly where it is, oppressed. So you feel that all African-American youth should be corraled off and placed somewhere and shot? I cant believe that you would even imply such a thing...
I believe the reason for the situation with these kids is the system of oppression we live in. Those in power never educate the victims of power in how to take their power away from them. This is a simple fact which eludes many of us...
I also believe that what we do for ourselves depends on what we know about ourselves and what we accept about ourselves. Since many of us dont understand our history as it relates to the keebler elf-head...some of us are lost. We have a social amnesia. But let us not blame the kids for what they do; they just dont understand their rich heritage. Only when these kids can rediscover their history will they have self-discovery; it will be like they have been resurrected from the dead; a revelation of the mystery of supreme Blackness.
Have you ever talked to any of these kids? They dont wanna do that shit; but we live in a capitolistic nation and dollars rule; The kid in the 50K car is a budding entreprenuer...selling whatever he is selling, organizing his block, stacking his dollars, protecting his investments...isnt that the American Way?...why not educate him of his history so he can change his options, instead of spitting this retoric(sp) of being ashamed of the kid? c'mon dawg, wake up  Be a difference in your community instead of being ashamed of what you see.

Mr. Famu,
Now you know that was not right.
Mack, I am very black and I am very intuned with my African and African-American history(In real life Mr. Famu is a history teacher). I agree with some of what you are saying about our young people, but if u read what I said I only stated that I understood the theory behind racial profiling and I only gave evidence to why I thought it existed in the African-American community and I tried to relate it back to why I felt the Arab-American community was feeling such a backlash of reverse prejudice. I don't think that that racial profiling is right, but I can undertand why some European Americans are afraid of young African-American males and I can understand why some in American society are afriad of Arab-Americands now.
Now I did mean what I said when I say that we need to seperate ourselves from those that do the race more harm than good.

Mr FAMU:
Thank you for clarifying that point...I was getting worried...
Que:
Why not try it on a case-by-case point. I had the positive opportunity of changing a young man around..through mentoring. It was a slow process but it worked..the young man is currently attending college with some of that old stacked money he used to make.

Politics draws attention from the real issues. No matter what race is profiled the real villian is never caught. Arabs right now are the flavor of the month. The American government supplies the drugs to the 16 year old with Lexus & the government supplies the weapons & training to the muslim terrorist. Go to any other country & find out bigotry only exists in the USA.
