I believe his name is Lebron, do yall think he should choose to go straight to the NBA and skip college? Do you think athletes who choose to go take the high road and go to the pro's are better or worse off?

Being in Chicago I have seen some great high school players. This kid is great in high school but he would be better off going to college to develop more cause in the pros ALL the players have his ability. The money is great & he will be the number 1 pick but how long will he last?

His mom is off the hook like Iverson's...
I read an article in ESPN Magazine...
He's going Pro... Mom is already cashing checks...

"Oh, his dad was just a casual sex partner honey...."
"Charisma? He's a damn fool," says his mother, laughing..."

His high school has a contract with adidas... High School... WTF?

Look, this kid hqas got some great skills and roll models to follow aftre. Vince carter got his degree, and so will Lebron...while playing.

The NBA is straight boring these days. Only two teams dominate.

Sacramento and LA. Kobe needs to be taken down a peg and here comes some fresh legs to do it:D...just too bad that he will be drafted by the Mavs..

Holla

I think you mean the Cleeland Cavs... NY may get him, too... Right now, NY will have the best chance of winning the lottery...

If the Dallas Mavs could get him, with Dirk Nowitski, Steve Nash & Michael Finley, that would be a tight squad...

He can sign a multi-million dollar contract in the pros, and get his fam up out the projects ( if they are in one) and be set for life! If he goes out and gets hurt first day, he still gets the bucks. In college, you are talking about his basketbal development? Most folks say go to college to get a degree and have something to fall back on.... but fall back on what when you can get tens of millions guaranteed? If he gets hurt in college, gets in some campus life related trouble that threatens his eligibility, etc..., he is taking a big chance.

What is bad, is any of the kids that do not have half the talent, do not have the pundits saying they are worthy, who out of sheer ego take the leap and get picked way late in the draft.

well if he decides to go pro, he need to go to a BANK and not an accountant in private practice to handle his money. that way by contract the bank is liable if they fuck up his dough.

and let's hope that he got a daddy at home that can keep training him in good sense so that he won't go actin stupid and losing his money to child support cases or from beating someone's ass.

michael jordan and magic johnson need to hire their mentoring services out. (assuming they can teach young kids like him the real deal of th game. keep him out of trouble, etc...)

Hula, you late...

The kid has Jordan's cell number... And he plays in the summer with T-Mac, a fellow adidas marketing tool...

my boy taped the game...STRAIGHT BEAST! this kid is.

he had dicky v going the fuck off with a behind the back bounce pass that hit this bama perfectly in stride. he funked the dunk in the first quarter that was straight SICK!

i started watching pro b-ball when college kids were coming out early, because frankly...after magic...the shyt got dull. this kid will sell out arenas. fuck he's doing it in HS.

cold beast! kobe, t-mac, garnett - they will practice harder this off season. not that the kid will render them oldhat, but he (like michael vick to football) is an example of the new breed. shaq and duncan did it for big men..., kobe, t-mac and this kid will do it for other spots on the court.

The telecast wasn't even about the game, it was all about Le Bron... Who were the other players...

Let's not get too excited. The kid is good but he is no better than Kwame Brown or Garnett or Liberty, or Brandon out of high school. The NBA is a different game & it will take years for him to make an impact.

Who is Liberty...

opps, I mean where is Liberty...

What about Chris Jackson in Mississisippi & LSU, that kid shot the lites out, like 50 points a game in h/s...

Marcus Liberty, King High School in Chicago. #1 Player in the Nation 1986. Played for the Denver Nuggets. Went to Illinois. You don't know your high School Basketball !

I know who Liberty was, or what they tried to make him out to be... A bust in my book, Nick Anderson, Bardo, that team was stacked, but could not play together for shit... Exit the Dance early every year... Dig, dig, dig... 'Cause my sports knowledge is too deep...;)

Back in my highschool days everybody though Eugene Banks was High School to pros material. He was playing so far above everyone else and the team went undefeated all three years.

Banks took the college route thru Duke, and then on to San Antonio Spurs. He was an average player on the pro level.
They do have a way of hyping you. The game plan is to feed this boy the ball. Most team run off the team principle. Making that transition will be tough, but still, like I said, getting the multi-year big bucks ASAP is important too.

Dre are you familiar with NYC Ball players...

Probably the 70s, this guy named Henry Hollingsworth, he was a man-child in h/s... Was one Rick Patino's first recruits at the University of Hawaii, NCAA violations he ended up back home at some local college...

i agree that this kid must learn about NBA team play, but he already plays summer league with the big boys. jordan is his unofficial mentor. calls him on the phone, plays with him and coaches him in the off season...

nah, i think this kid will be a beast. again, he ain't gone make noone obscelete, but...

his teammates were given props, actually the other forward was incredible as well, but he ain't got a shoe deal already set up from the 11th grade or that multi-million dollar deal ready for signing like lebron.

and the one thing i really like about him...whoever's been working on his interviewing skills has done a GREAT job. i've heard it was jordan's folks that made mike a charismatic ass mofo.

They say his mom is geto... I don't think there will be another like A.I.'s mom...

You have the read the Article in ESPN magazine... He is good, unlike Liberty and some of the H/S superstars... He has a national following... This school plays all over the country...

You can't tell me Lebron is better than Kwame Brown was or Tyson Chandler or Eddie Curry in high school. I saw the game & he dominanted high school kids but the pros are totally different. Ronnie Fields did things exactly like Jordan did in high school but never made any impact.

Melotic

I think he is better than the 3 you listed... Maybe you should start a real library of LeBron tapes...

People laugh at me and my conspiracy theories... But, this kid will end up in a Big Market Area: NY, Miami, LA, Dallas or Philly... I told some of my friends this a while back, but why are the Lakers having a shitty season and it's the same team from last year...
All this shit seems fixed... Follow the scripts...

Jordan saved Chicago sportsmarket...

The Pats win the SuperBowl after 9/11...
