fam,would you be upset if your friend knew that your ex s/o was spreading gossip about you but your friend didn't tell you right away? Are they wrong for waiting weeks to tell you about the gossip,in order to spare your feelings? Or are they truly being considerate?

But truely I would not care if the friend told me or not...IMHO its not really important that the friend tell me...thats why she's an x'ed s/o :D

Gossip is gossip & most of that shit is for entertainment purposes only.
My friends know better than to come with me about what an ex said except I want to hook again what's his number.

I could care less and I would hope my friend would keep it to themselves.

Even though I have some ex's whom I consider to be terrible, lying, untrustyworthy, cheating, jerks. I only say that on the Hush. When other people ask I simply say "It didn't work out". So if some man is out there saying otherwise about me that's between him and his God.

I wouldn't care. You don't talk about anyone unless they are important and the mere fact that he would be talking about me would let me know I was still on his mind. So he could say what the hell he wants.

It's to be expected in some/most cases that there is going to be mud slingin' especially if it wasn't an amicable parting.

if i was 16 i would care.

but as an adult...and a professional i have better things to do than keep up with every rumor and hearsay said about me! i would be appreciative of my friend understanding THAT much about me...that BS is only BS once you've heard it! Oftentimes...ignoring such dribble is the best way to diffuse because if you investigate and deny...you oftentimes come off looking guilty....it's a silly game!...so don't play!
