What was your worst hair nightmare?

What was your absolute worst hair nightmare? I mean, the worst hair style or condition that got you so embarrassed you wanted to hide under a rock.

I'll tell you mine:

I had a perm and I dyed it chestnut blonde. This was about 3 1/2 years ago. It looked hot, but I didn't take care of it like I was supposed to. The roots were singing "I'm Coming Out", and I waited too long to get a touch up for my perm, so, when I did, my there was a small patch in the middle of my head.

That was the worst. Two months later, I cut it all off.

I was about 8 or 9. There were 3 girls at the time. All of us had long hair....Long where my mother would was all heads Friday night, put in about 6 braids and on Sunday afternoon she'd start pressing hair.

Well we hated it.....The middle sister and my hair always took the longest to dry so we knew one of us would last...The last to getthere hair pressed was not good...mom was tired by then and you might get burned if you so much has hunched your shoulders.

Anyway, one of my sisters and i played this game. Set one of your braids on fire from the stove at the tip and run to the sink to put it out.....my other sister would time us.

Well it worked a few days, but this one day...it didn't. I didn't make it. Burned one braid completely off. I cried like shit, not because my hair was gonna but because my mom was whip my ass.

Well she came, asked why i got a towel on my head...told her just playing i got long hair.....well she knew something was up along with the burnt hair smell.

Took the towel off, told me to get my coat and off to the hairdresser i went. Clip, Clip, Clip..i walked around with my right side of my hair damn near gone while the rest of my hair was over my shoulder.

Took years to catch up.......Boy was i laughed at.....

The only one I can think of is when I was going to this beautician about 23 years ago. She did my relaxers, wash & styles, etc.

Well finally my hair started coming out at the hairline in the back. The rest of My hair was past my shoulders so you couldn't see the bald spot.

I finally quit going to her when she said I wasn't taking care of my hair because it was coming out. She was the beautician, she took care of my hair, she was the cause of it coming out.

Mind you, my hair was so long because I was pregnant. I quit going after I had my baby and went to a family friend who cut it all off to give it a fresh start and she gave me a curl.

I looked like a boy for a long time. I hated it:blah:

I had this chick from Philly braid my hair once and she tied the ends in knots. I hate to cut it out.

I had a hairdresser put color on top of a relaxer. (Ya'll already know what happened) FALLOUT!

Years ago my friend put a super perm in my hair to make it straight. She went to the store and didn't come back until 20 minutes later. By that time, my mother came upstairs to see what was going on. I couldn't take the heat any longer so I washed it out.... My hair came out and down the sink and my mother was beating me upside the head at the same time..

It was my first perm and last.. Love my natural.. If my hair is not meant to me straight, so be it..

From that experience, I've learned my lesson..

i can't remember. thus far, i had my hair cut to my ear and dude cut a CHUNK on the right side . so i had this "square" shape on the top layer of my hair and it looks like someone took some square scissors and just snipped!
