My daughter has had 3 fundraisers for school in one month.
Now that it's time to turn in the money for the candy sale. . .she tells me last night when do I think I can write a check for $40 because it was due yesterday.
I told her this morning to give me the money for what was sold so that I can pay the difference.
She said she doesn't know where the money is  Even tried to throw one of my tricks into my face. . .that if she doesn't have it that I'm the last one who saw her purse. . .WTF?!? I know little Ms. Heathen isn't accusing ME of taking her candy money when I lugged that mess to work on the bus several days and brought home the money envelope every single time.
She's spent that money or lost it or is keeping it for herself and I'm waiting for her to confess. . .she's hemming and hawing. . .I am about two seconds from hopping in her ass with both feet.

Damn, she probably spent the money. Then she had the nerves to say that you saw her purse last. I hope she finds a way to come up w/that money, she better look around.

How old is your daughter? I remember those candy selling days. My mom would keep the money. It wasn't that she didn't think I was responsible enough it was more the fact that it was other people's money.
I guess your young lady will be working for that money. But I give her an A+ for guts, to try to turn the tables on you. That took some nerve. Hopefully for the people that ordered you can still get the money in. If not she should go to each of the people who ordered and apologize and return their money.

My daughter just finished 2 fund raisers for GS, and yesterday she bought one home from school.....
I wonder why they do them at the same time every year..why not do some in February or something.
It's now 9:43, and i'm sure she's in school.....i wonder if she's confessed by now.

...that she got jacked! (This normally would have been all caps)
I got fund raising money taken off me in elementary, and the last thing I wanted was to tell Mom, because I knew the first thing she would do is haul me into the Principal's office and point out the bully that did it. I'd be dead for sure then, and on top of that, ridiculed for bringing my Mom in the school like a punk. It could also be like one of my favorite humor stories, Chester Himes' "Mama's Missionary Money" where the star of the story siphoned off bit by bit, until it got out of hand. But to cover by using the old "the best defense is a good offense" maneuver; that is another matter entirely. You must admit, it took guts!

Its one thing not to want to tell your mother you got jacked and another to accuse your mother of possibly taking the money. The young lady definately crossed a line with that remark.

As it turned out. . .my daughter finally confessed to losing her purse and the money (along with some of her other treasure junk) was in there.
I almost thought I caught her carrying the "stolen purse" and I rolled up on her and snuck a peek. I've cleaned her room top to bottom myself and it is indeed missing.
Or it could have been what Dre said and she got jacked and is too embarassed to say anything about it.
After she accused me of stealing that money. . .I was hot as heck. . .lol.
