Kobe and shaq don't have a chance. The damn bench didn't do shit and Phil should have taken fisher out too and took his chance on some one else. The bench SUCKS. If the Laker had a little bit of help shaq wouldn't have fouled and it would have been a different game. They might beat the kings but playing the way they have been playing in this round, they can't repeat with that trash. No one other than the same two, will step and contribute.

we must give credit where credit is due.
the kings are a good team.
they had the best record during the regular season.
the lakers have role players surrounding the big two. the big two have to win the game for the lakers! period. nobody else is EXPECTED to win/lose the game for them.
shaq finally started to dominate....and this is a scary thing for the kings. the problem was...when he was dominating it was ONE sided because he didnt want to pick up fouls on defense.....so he didnt do much on D...at least not late in the game.
if shaq can stay out of foul trouble...they will still win!

Fam, yall know that I used to live in Sac...moved there in 1988 and left in 1999. 11 years.
So, I love the kings, but they can choke. I'll get excited "IF" they win this series. Keep in mind that Phil Jackson is the Lakers coach.
Holla ;)

Phil Jackson isn't all the coach, people make him to be... He has never actually build a Championship team...

Phil would never take over a NBA gutter squad, like the Grizzlies or Clippers... You see how quick he left Chicago...

Yeah, I saw that shyt to...but I knew the Kings would loose on Friday. Look, what's better than to win in Sacto on Sunday with the whole world watching in a game 7..$$$
TV Ratings airport full of honies and ballers LOL
The NBA is all about $$$ and the fix is in, Me thinks the Kings will go all the way!! Then we cam see Tyra Banks run out on the floor and tonuge kiss Chris Webber :D

refs suck, but no fix.
players ego's are too high nowaday for that type of shyt. unless you pay a sixth or seventh man, folks make too much loot to jeopardize their careers on bull, and you'd be surprised with the intel and security assets that the NBA/NFL/MLB/NHL employ to stop that kind of shyt.
like all good managers, you work with what you got. few coaches nowadays have the string pulling power to mold a scrub team and make them champs. that's a GM's job. and an owners's job to bring in the good manager of those assets. phil jackson knows how to work with what he's got and that's a mark of a true manager.

If Divac didn't foul out & Webber would have started to score? The Nets have a chance cause LA looks very beatable.

folks in the NBA are too fancy. i can count on one hand the lay-ups that sac tried. the three and perimeter shooting was unneccesary. nets will drive to the basket and shaq will fowl out. byron scott and jason kidd know this.

poor chris webber...
folks expect so much from him...they expect him to magically make the shot that THE THREE POINT CHAMPION shot!!!
chris did all he could do. they were doubling him....he was passing like he was supposed to....he was an assist away from a triple double.

jackson, christie, peja, bibby, turkoglu... These are known in basketball as jump shooters... webber is not a not a jump shooter, he can't shoot off the dribble... You have 4 jump shooters in the game, why who is rebounbing... Divac has fouled out... Webber should not be shooter 3s and he is the biggest man on the floor... There is no such thing as a jump set shoot...
I guess you still think Phil is a great coach too...

there is NO way that webber should have EVER had to shoot that three...LOL...that was a terrible shot.
and yes, i have to give PHIL JACKSON Credit....if you can't give HIM credit...what coach can you?
Melotic
06-03-2002, 04:20 PM
I give him credit, he is smart coach... He puts himself in winning position... Not situations... No Jordan, no credit... No Shaq, no credit... Riley, Daly, Rudy... All better coaches...

if championships are a measure of a team and its coach...guru 'bout to run out if fingers.
washington's football team two season ago were the best players but without a coach...???
lakers were a better and more consistent team the other night. football is block and tackle...b-ball is pass and shoot. kings made poor shots. high percentage shot...dunks and lay-ups, again, i can count on one hand how many times kings drove to the basket. byron scott and the nets won't make that mistake.
mel, folks that make that no need to coach when you have jordan or shaq comments seem think that the "good" coaches were out there shooting the shot for the teams of yore. remember bill russell, magic, isiah. players who were the jordan-adjective before jordan came to the game. must we run down the lakers' roster...or the pistons' league leaders...or bill "9 rings" russell.
you gotta have something to coach. either you trade and buy it, or you inherit it.
