I don't know what was heard while I was still on the phone before I remembered to turn it off. My dog started barking and I thought Z was coming home.... but it wasn't Z ... it was a Cop !!!!
How is this for being broke....
Can we sue the guy....
who stole our car ....
that was parked all the way where it "broke down" about 10 min. away because we had no money to fix it....
and he drove the "broken" car and got in an accident... wrecked it.... ended up in the hospital....
for a new car ?

Shoot...anybody stealing that car didn't have no money in the first place... Heck, if I can get the cost of tow and storage, outta this, that would be cool.

I was just informed that I can go to the DA and see if I can get some restitution from the theif. But the fact that this guy went through the trouble to steal a 1995 Geo Prism with almost 250K miles... he must be in really bad shape. So I might just pass on the whole restitution thing...
We'll see.

Ok...now this is strange. It turns out that the San Jose police is saying that my car was not stolen, but was involved in a hit and run... I guess that my parked car was the one that was hit.
That kinda makes sense, because I could not visualize too many people being able to:
Break into my car : easy
Get the battery charged: easy
Break the stearing wheel: Not easy?
Fix the manual transmission: Not so easy.
Avoid crashing: Apparently not as easy.
So, I will get the car today, if they will take it. We'll see what happens.
