depending on what we are talkin about, why can't I exhibit PASSION in my voice with out you thinking I'm trippin.

mostly men do this to me. my sista friends thinks its funny, or, great, cause, I show emotion to add emphasis to what I am talking about.:D

I think they do that to antagonize you. I get excited about everything and when someone tells me to "calm down" or "why you so mad?", that upsets me. It's all done on purpose, I'm getting better at controlling that. When you try to explain to them that you are not upset, they don't listen. It's all part of what they do, they just do that to get the best of you.

I thought I was the only person that felt like that. My friends know that calm down is a pet peeve of mine, because it makes it seem like I am acting irrational when we are having a disccusion, and the first thing they ass say is calm down.

Maybe they don't want the debate to turn into a yelling match.

Whever I am in a disagreement.. I let that person have the floor first.. get it all out without interuptions. Then I respond withoug interuptions. Then we discuss and put the outcome on paper. I have something to refrence in case folks got amnesia.
