Driving to work in the mornings....

Now i dont profess to be the most wonderful driver in the world...but every morning i have to deal with people who cannot merge onto 495 or onto a deceleration lane without coming close to killing folk! For example..this morning..im in the car..driving.. me and my baby getting our praise on (Shout to the Lord for kids 2)..I get to exit 15A off of 495..and this car in front of me slams on breaks..too scared:chicken to merge onto 95!! Now luckily i am used to this EVERY DAMN MORNING and am prepared!! But come on people...IT IS NOT THAT DIFFICULT. Slide yo raggedy car into an open space so i can get to work:beating !!

Now i feel a little bit better...until tomorrow morning:rolleyes:

driver's ed used to be mandatory in MD. accelerate in the accelerating lane, decelerate in the decelerating lane. the worse is when folk don't realize that the merge lane is at least a quarter mile long.

I feel ya. It's like that on I-20 here in Atlanta in the mornings. But the thing is that the merge lane is not long enough for folks to even coast until they find a space. Also, there are so many more cars on the road now and not enough highway to accomodate the growth.

What I usually do is just drive around them and merge into traffic. It's either move or get left.

Lovely, girl i feel every alphabet u just typed.....I get on 495 at exit 17 i think (central ave) and folks just get on my nerves....

Thank heavens for Russ and Olivia....they get me through it.

My turn signal is a notification of intent.........not a request for permission!!!!

So know that Soft is coming over whether you like it or not. And to those folks that dirve for a damn mile waiting for someone to "let them in" I gives ya about 15-30 seconds to get your ass over then...........you will be getting beind me!!!!!!

I might of met you on the road, if not for the fact that I am up North.... but I think I met your twin! LMAO! I'll take that though over the person that starts to go then slams on their brakes. When I am coming up the main road, I try to avoid being in right lane any way but sometimes it can't be helped. The absolute worst is when your on the main road and a merging car comes out into the lane, much more than the nose of the car, I'm talking nearly half way and then slams to a stop! Now, I have to either swerve left with little or no time to check who is over on my left, or I have to come to a panic stop in my lane, leaving me wide open for an automotive anal. I swore that if I am ever in an accident that is the fault of a third car that didn't get hit, that I was going to immediately put my foot on the gas and hit them. We are all gonna have insurance issues! I might have to chase them for blocks though, but they getting some damage too! :D If you're going, GO or if staying, STAY, but by all means do not get on the road and stop! That leaves no options.

My Dad said it best years ago... " We all know there are stupid people in the world...well, some of them get behind the wheel..."
You can replace that ending with
".... well, some of them have kids..."
".... well, some of them deliver mail..." depending on the present situation.

ya'll know i'm feeling you on this .... thus my long stint in therapy for road rage. And ya know I know the deal with 495....is it still under construction? Oh my the memories...

One thing I noticed when I first moved to Georgia and had to drive to Atlanta. Even the old folks know either hit the gas or get left LMAO!!!!:D
