I'll be on this!
You can't beat some good slow jazz, because you don't really want to be listening to lyrics... when I'm hittin it, I don't want to hear about "Jordan from the corner in '92"... The old classic R&B is timeless, but these youngins... "Let's Get Married" by Jagged Edge: "We aint gettin' no younger, we might as well do it.." How romantic.

Mr Sweat "whines". And the other two groups are, uh, too young, they're boys. Now go to Love Won't Let Me Wait by Major Harris, and most of Marvin Gaye's slow ones, you're talking... But again, the lyrics will be distracting, it would be hard for me to sing with my mouth full. It will be hard enough to hear with my ears covered by her... uh, nevermind. Some slow sax or nice piano or if vocals are unavoidable, maybe a sensuous female voice like Maysa Leak.

Oh...people play actual music during that time?
What is the name of this song. I just know the lyrics:
"Squeek"
"Squeek"
"Squeek"
"Ahhh..."
"Squeek"
"Squeek"
"Squeek"
"Uhhhhh"
"Squeek"
"Squeek"
"Squeek"
"Flip Over"
"Squeek"
"Squeek"
"Squeek"
"You like that?.."
"Squeek"
"Squeek"
"Squeek"
"Ahhh..y...y..yes......NOW SHUT UP!"
"Squeek"
"Squeek"
"Squeek"
"Squeek"

but in response to dre who said this:
Nice show but....
I was a little frustrated that for a topic called "Bedroom Music" there was not much discussed about it once it evolved into a series of comedy riffs on how little is needed to get one's respective freak on. We also got off on a boy vs. girl thing.
Maybe for just an hour, that was a lot to cover.
Let's say if the topic was what to offer to drink if you want to get the vibe going - what is a nice bottle of wine to bring, a chardonnay, a zinfandel, and all that was discussed was " I don't need no wine, all I need is Koolaid and a bendy straw" then the original topic is moot and we can kill the hour getting laughs. Sorry if I came off as stiff and not going with the flow. I was late into the show and the flow was already what it was.
I kind of agree and I contributed to it, but I think the show is still getting its feet wet so to speak and I think that is truly folks' opinions on the matter.. that they really don't put that much time/effort into getting mood music set up... if I didn't join so late, I would have asked: are we talking about "sex" or "making love?"... seems you would use music for one and not the other... I bet the folks who said they don't need any music were thinking in terms of sex (dogs in heat style)....
i also wanted to bring up the fact that we have an old/ancient thread where someone said they use hip hop in the bedroom :p

Lasttry, Maaaaan, Thanks for calling in and giving your 2 cents. It was really good to talk with ya. You are correct, it was folks own opinions and the host cannot control the guests views and thoughts on any given subject. It's REAL TALK, so we keep it REAL....just like the HUSH.
I personally stated that I still use BEDROOM music today and I have been married 10 years. No, I do not use it all the time, but it's still one of my options.
I also offered folks to continue their thoughts and views on the HUSH. The HUSH has always been the spot were we can go to share information, so the Talk show is just an extention of the HUSH. Ya dig?:afro

I thought the discussion was Bedroom music...not specific types. That's a broad subject and it opens itself to all sorts of interpretations. Which is what Hush radio is about.
I mean, an hour of just listing songs...in my opinion would have been kinda boring.
What I enjoy about Hush radio, is that the topics take on a life of their own. The week we talked about "where are all the good men" the topic got off on sex, moving to Oregon, the kinds of men that are in churches, and it was just all over the place.
I don't think we need to put restraints on what can or can not be discussed.
The reason, is for those who don't use it at all...then they had no place on the show...but there were many there who felt that way...so they needed a place to contribute.
I feel what Dre was saying, but that's part of Hush radio. It's only been 3 shows, but the Hush...we go off on tangents...even on board.
Of course we are gonna do that on the radio too. LOL

..You could not take the hush radio topic "Bedroom Music" serious....yessssss..ya'll know I love to laugh.....And like Brite mention in a earlier thread no religion or politics. or current events...you gonna get straight up clown city sorrrrrrryyyyyy...
As far as the topic...it was about the "Mackin Game" for men..and that's what we heard...very few women are queing up their sytems car or home for love making music...lol
personally, I'm feeling the outdoor sounds, a little wind, rain foghorn, train whitsles in the background.....
The hush radio is the HUSH!!..opinions, frustrations, loves, dislike, rolling of eyes, and laughter, tears..I would not be here for anything less
