how can you not love a sistuh with a range like her's!!!..not to mention her style....lol,lol..she may come on stage w/ bantu knots, or a big afro, or long locks wearing a dhaski..or a sexy dress..could be in a bad ass linnen suit, a or fatigues w/ combat boots..lol,lol or maybe a minni skirt and combat boots..and doing damage on the piano...

Thanks E' I saw the marquee the other day..actually April is not a bad month for Yoshis....Rachelle, Layla Hathaway..and Mos Def...i guess I'm a creature of habit....rarely does my music style change....

I do like all 3 artists...but rachelle I have enjoyed her what?????? since ooooo..early 80's??...E, I know you know the year of her 1st album…

she's one of those artist you either love or hate...lol,lol...other fav singers for me phoebe snow,al jarueau, esther phillips minnie ripperton...i enjoy them like their songs just came out today!!!!..been listening to them since highschool..the older the better....lol,lol...ooooweeee...guess I'm telling my age...

then there's the other side...my aunt turned me on to as a child....lady day, ella,bessie duke...and she loved perry como, and frank sinatra..so I can listen to scat, big band, frank or rachelle ferrelle..my sister hate getting in the car with me or when I visit...she's like..ughhhhhhhh your music...and if there's no music it's talk radio...lol,lol

i believe she has an excellent voice; just never bought her stuff. surely if i miss the ball on some of my favorite artists, i'll miss the balls on the ones just under my radar :(
