Amazon Stallion

OK, so a couple days before Thanksgiving I get word that my mother's two dogs escaped the yard when she let them out for their daily bathroom breaks. I decided to post an ad on Craigslist's "lost and found" section, in addition to research the resources I could contact in Maryland, specifically, PG County officials, to help find them. Now, apparently the only shelter in the area houses pets for 3 to 5 days, depending on space, availability, etc. And at any time pets can be claimed BY ANYONE. After that timeperiod, animals are euthanized. So you basically have to call or visit EVERYDAY to find out if your pet's been picked-up and turned-in.
So here we are, 2 weeks later and we haven't found them. Quite frankly, because these were purebred dogs, I'm almost certain someone picked them up and kept them. However, holding onto hope, I'm still contacting agencies, e-mailing, calling, yada yada...
So today I run across an e-mail of the Humaine Society's contact for the greater MD-PA area, and in the body of the e-mail I send pictures and I included the burb from my Craigslist ad that's been running for two weeks now:
"I'VE LOST MY DOG IN THE FORT WASHINGTON, MD AREA! (Near Tucker Road)
My dog wandered-off from his home near Tucker Road in Fort Washington, MD literally days before Thanksgiving. With him was also a small white (female) dog with a black furry-face. He's a small, amber-colored dog with a white coat on his underbelly.
If you have any information that can lead to the reuniting of me and my baby, please contact me at..."
Mind-you, no further details or specifics were mentioned.
Her reply was:
"and tell me, HOW DOES A DOG WANDER OFF UNLESS HIS OWNER PUTS HIM OUT AND DOES NOT PAY ATTENTION.?????
do you understand that people put dogs out and do NOT stand with them, and then wonder why they run away??? explain to me why the dog, if found, should be returned to someone who doesn't pay attention to either putting him in a fenced yard or on a leash- he could be dead by now, hit by a car. as for the other white dog, apparently someone else let's THEIR DOG WANDER AT LARGE, AS WELL. frankly, for all your words, your actions do NOT match up.

Now see, this is one of those cases where I wish I was speaking with this woman face-to-face, because quite-frankly, I'da choked the shit outta this bitch... she'da made me go from David Banner to Incredible Hulk in POINT FIVE seconds. But then again, her response would have been (9 times outta 10) completely different in a face-to-face conversation.
But how dare she assume or insinuate ANYTHING of the situation when she didn't ask specific questions about this incident. She took a simple BLURB and ran with it.
Am I wrong for thinking this way??
