I laughed once.

Jamie Foxx needs to go back to sitcoms, he's not good at stand-up.

I'd rather listen to Richard Pryor on a 8-track than watch Jamie Foxx with his weak stand-up skills. HBO needs their ass kicked. There are more deserving black comics.

I guess y'all thought his acting in Ali was poor, too...

His acting is good but after awhile comics loose that stand-up ability.

He was trying to stretch his material... Def Jam was different, alot of comics that get success as actors feel that's a step back, like Chris Tucker...

I just didn't find the show very funny at all. The crackish part was what I thought to be the weakest.

I laughed once when he talked about LL's head. The rest was just not funny to me.

When he did his first HBO special he did alot of characters, the ugly girl Wanda was first done in his stand-up routine. That was funny. But this show was just alot of talk about people he had beef with...who cares if Jlo is mad at him...say something funny.

I'm a big Jamie Foxx fan, always have been...but this show was not funny.

You should be working for Jamie,Melotic, cause you are definetely making sure that he gets his props. Let's remember that everyone has the right to their opinion. I am a fan of Jamie but if it's not funny,it's not funny.I laughed a little but not as much as I expected to. The earlier stuff-like from Def Comedy Jam-had me thinking that he would be hilarious and he wasn't. I've laughed much more watching The Jamie Foxx show when it was on. And in regard to Whitney, that's not funny, that's just sad.....

That it was HILARIOUS..... I laughed from beginning to end.... In tears at that.... I taped it and have watched it three or four times since then and know the routine back to front..... So at Hushnic this year you guys may hear alot of refrence to this routine.....Funniest part, the whole Africa routine and his impression of Shack....

Jamie is a great impressionist(sp) and this routine greatly showed his talent in that department....

I am glad that he talked about his beef with LL... It put alot of rumors to rest that it did indeed happen.... As for the Whitney joke He wasnt the first and he damn sure wont be the last to joke her Crackish Ass...

But I knew that alot of people would NOT find it funny...

by the way Melotic I can't believe You and I finally agree on something..... Wow mark this date down....

Melotic, you didn't say "you must like Jamie Foxx". But as soon as people, such as myself, said we didn't really find the special funny, you started listing all the reasons why people must not have liked it-then Pecan Tan mentioned the hater comment. I just think that people have a right to like or dislike a performer-just as you don't like the comedy of D.L. Hughley-without having it scrutinized . That's what the hush is all about,we are never all going to agree on an issue but as long as we can agree to disagree, then it's all good....

Remember that a lot of the characters that he used to do are "property of" In living color so he can no longer do those. I still think he was funny.

I am not a Jamie Fox hater either, but we do need to be honest when "our own" is half stepping and this was not as good as his other efforts. There is always going to be funny parts. It was just rough around the edges...his transitions from topic to topic left a lot of awkward gaps. But that's what live standup is. And his blows to LL was just him trying to repair his manhood. LL got that ass! So, he now has the mic = the power to get his shots in way after the fact. You can't tell that Seinfeld's stand up was any better... the HBO one after his show ended, that was on Broadway? Man, that stunk to high hell !

As for Jamie's career in general, I am all for his star rising, but I can say "Held Up" was awful and "Bait" was pretty good. I saw "Any Given Sunday" again, hell, I bought the DVD sight unseen back when, and I can't buy him as an NFL quarterback of any level. His comic touches were great, when he was first picked to go in, the up-chucking and all, but you can't tell me that wasn't Hollywood deal making at work that landed him that role. I could see him in every other aspect of that movie role except the action on the field. Pacino is like DeNiro, he'll work with anybody and make them seem better by association. Cameron Diaz stunk it up in that too.

whenever a comedian relies on fart jokes....not a good thing.
