Thought folks would enjoy this trip down memory lane. They were getting down. Should have put this in the back in the day thread, oh well.

Look at that polka dot shirt he has on! Whew! Is amazing that I can remember that being so hip! And I never knew Don went down the Soul Train line! I'd a been on the floor laughing if I saw that back then! Did you see that first couple? Sometimes they do some plain old stuff like that kicking the legs out. I could of done that.
That show was the only thing on TV where we could see peer aged black folks having a good time.

I didn't know they were playing the old shows on Saturdays.
I saw Rufus featuring Chaka Khan, and Billy Preston.
And man, some ofthose outfits the dancers had on! LMAO!

Billy Preston looks like a wolfman........LOL
We didn't do anything until Soul Train went off. Didn't want to be doing your chores while it was on. So we would either do chores before or after it went off.

I saw that one about 2 weeks ago. I've been staying up Saturday nights to watch the old shows.
Bay folks, it comes on TV20 (cable channel 13) at 1 am.

curious about the sub-titles.
had a discussion in class with some foreign students who admitted some deep things - from not thinking blacks lived in the US to thinking we all were hip hop gansta.
