Hey guys I'm feeling a little down and blue today cause I just said goodbye to my husband.... His ship leaves today for 6 months heading straight for the Indian Ocean.... He's going to miss birthdays and Our 1st anniversary and practically the whole summer....

It times like this that I really hate the Navy.... No Husband for 6 whole months.... This is his last one... When they return Sometime in August he will be going to Shore Duty for his last 4 yrs....

Pray for me... I'm going to need alot of strength to get thru this period....:( :cry: :cry:

I know it's gonna be difficult being without the man you love for awhile, but look at it this way.....when he gets back, you'll have him for the rest of your life.

Do something like keep a journal and jot down what you miss about him each day and give it to him when he gets back or jot down what you would have done for him or with him each day.

That would be some good reading for olde boy, I'm sure.

my sister is married to one....6 months at a time is incredible!

i missed the hell out of my son when i was gone. 6months 1 day 12 hours 38 minutes.

yeah I would feel down too...that has to be hard.

When my husband would go on duty in other countries for 4 months it was an adjustment in the beginning. I got used to it and it didn't bother me much. He hasn't been out of the country for that long in a long time and if he was to do that now I don't think I could handle it.

Fill your time by starting to plan now all the freaky sneaky things you gone do to him when he gets back. :upto:
