I've been doing some research on discounted tickets for the theme parks and so far I haven't found anything (for the parks we were trying to go to) for under $47/person. I'm gonna check out some other options, but in the meantime, here's a link of information that can be useful for us. It has a list of malls, clubs, etc.
http://orlandoinfo.com/index.cfm
So that we can keep everything organized, let's try to use this thread for ideas on the things we want to do once we get there.

As far as theme parks go, the best deal is to get a two or three-day pass which I'm sure not everyone will want to do. My girlfriend is a teacher down in Miami and they get discounts on those types of things. . . .I can check with her and see if they have any single day passes but I'm fairly sure you need concrete numbers and to purchase in advance.
Personally, I don't think $47 is too much because we have an old rinky-dink amusement park (Kings Island) which you can get through in a couple of hours and that's $36.95 (if the price hasn't gone up again). But whatever. . . it doesn't matter to me.

I agree Bright. I don't think the price is that bad for one day. As for the 2 or 3 day passes, some of the sites that I saw said that if you buy passes like that, they will not expire. I'm not sure if I buy into that, but it is a thought. As for the discount rates, I'm still checking with some folks on prices to see if they can give some kind of discount for a group of at least 10.

Bright and 14K.........$47 is not that much and you know after one day we ain't trying to go back. I think that a day at the amusement park and a day to go out on your own (so Que won't get stuck going shoping!!!) and then may be cook out the last day be fore we leave.
Now when is everyone getting there.....Thursday or Friday.

I'm driving down so I will be there on Thursday. I'm planning to ride around before folks arrive to scope out some spots and get more familiar with the area.
Those parks are hugh. It may take two days to cover one park.
Thats why the two-three day pass is considered good value. Don't forget the parking that's about $12 a day. Then you got all those other spots or attractions.

CD, I've been there before, and to be honest, 1 day is enough. I'm sure we're not trying to do EVERY single thing at the theme park.

We ain't kids no more.............we ain't trying ride every-damn thing in the park. After a couple of hours here at Six Flags I am ready to bounce. So there sounds like there will be plenty of cars for those who wanna do the 2-day thing but put me down for just 1!!

I'm supposed to go to a conference in Orlando a month before Hushnic so I'm gonna try to peep out some coupons and other stuff while I'm there.
And as far as oysters....fried, boiled, raw, baked, whatever....they are nasty and have a disgusting taste. Y'all can have 'em.
