One of my friends from back in the day would take the pill to postpone her period. If she knew her period was going to start when she knew she was gone be getting her freak on..shed pop the pills a couple days before and she said it would postpone her period.

I have another friend who takes the pill after she has unprotected sex. Said her Dr. told her it would stop her from getting pregnant. I read something like that before.

Have i used it unorthodoxically? No.

You can only do the postponing thing if you are not using the pill, right? I mean if you are on the pill you cant't just pop a couple extra and it postpone your period..or can you?

Lovely,
Yes this works if you are currently taking the pill.

So how does it work...when would you take the extra pills. Does it make you feel sick? I know once i forgot to take the pill and i took two in one day...and felt quite nauseated. And i can stand to feel like that.

As long as you are taking the pill your body thinks it's not time to allow your period to come. Once that pill stops here comes your period...I didn't do it that way but a few times. But yeah it works that way too...it really messes your cycle up.

But at the time I was not on the pill...but I had a lot of pills for when I was starting them. Anyway the pills I had was too strong of a dose, so I stop taking them. So I had extra pills. When I knew I was going out of town to visit someone or I knew this particular weekend I was entertaining...I would take the pill for about a week and stop..two days later my period is here.

When I just stop taking the pill the body said it's time to start your period....it will get your cycle off, but your period will come.

I did that often. Currently I am taking the pill in the correct manner because now I have new pills (new dose)

It shouldn't make you sick! Taking too in one day does not make some sick, because that is a lot for most people's body...

But the extra pills are just using extra days...before you take that sugar pill...you keep taking that birth control pill (open a new pack).

I have also stop taking my pills early so I can start my period early...have you ever spotted because you forgot a few days? Your body thinks its time to have your period.

I am impressed you know a little something!

I saw a little weight gain, I said oh hell now change...then I had some chest pains, I said aw shit naw...change, the pills I have now are great.

Women go wrong by not looking at those signs and next thing you know your big as a house...blaming those pills. Change that shit...They got over 60 different kinds!

I'm not currently using it but when I was I was using it UNORTHODOXICALLY all the time. I charted my period and had it when it was convenient for me. . .I never skipped more than 1 mo. - 1½ mos.

And I believe to achieve the dosage for the RU487 you need to take "high doses" of regular pills for 3 consecutive days. . . that would be 2-3 I think of most brands. Some like Ortho 1/35 have the same dosage all month but others have the hormones in increasingly amounts til you get to the placebo pills.

Sorry but I have experienced weight gain on every single thing, pills, depo, and norplant.

I will never take anything again.

If you want to you can postpone your period even longer. When I was on the pill, sometimes I would go two months without.

I didnt see a gain while on the shot, but it was super hard to lose any while on it. I was exercising 1 hour a day for three months, didn't lose one ounce :( that was the last of the shot...I dont need anything making it harder to lose any weight.
