Well Fam, as some of you may know I have been on my job for almost a year now. The job has been great and it continues to go well. I have no major complaints and have had none that I have not been able to handle. The position that I hold is a Sr. position in IT Operations. In this position I support all areas for the corporate and store windows based servers. I work very closely with all business and department thought out the environment.
Any way one of my co-workers told me to apply for a new position in his department. This department is Infrastructure/Platform Engineering which handles all new/current hardware and software in the environment. Well, I did and I had an interview on Wednesday of this week. The interview went well it lasted about an hr with two managers and one of there Sr. Engineers. When I left me interview I went and called my Director to give him the heads up that I had just interviewed with another organization. Before I could get it out he said. I know why you call. I said why? He said you accepted the position. I said no I interviewed and it went well but nothing has been offered nor have I accepted anything. I then gave me some words of encouragement and basically wished me well.
Today I get an email form his project manager congratulating me and she said my Director made and announcement today in there meeting this I will be moving on. It seems to me that that they know something that I don’t.
So I am very excited about the new career path and looking forward to my new position.
I just thought I would give the fam my career update.
