You went in a Kennedy FC? Ha ha...you shoulda known! They had them in Flatbush Brooklyn when I lived there. The Pakistani ran it. The Koreans, and east indians be opening up the liquor stores and the fast food knock offs, along with the Chinese food joints in every other block, selling out the ribs and chicken wing part of their menu.
Recently, in Washington Heights, I stopped by a joint called "Sherman's BBQ", I think its a chain. This one was at Amsterdam and 165th, I think. I had passed it many times but the front of the place is so raggedy on the outside it was hard to tell if it was open. Inside, it was a throwback to my Auntie's old country kitchen in rural Virginia, and that's not a charming picture. Suffice to say it was ramshackle. But some of the best down home food comes out of strange places like this. This elderly Grandma type was behind the bullet proof glass, and Ribs was all they had on the menu, so I figured I'd taste Granny's vittles. I waited until I drove all the way back to NJ before I unwrapped this beast. My God, there was no excuse for that. It was not food fit for a dog. Not for a dead dog. I did not taste a piece, the appearance was that bad. I told someone later who was from Harlem and they said a different location with the same name had very good food. I was not risking it. I was through with the name altogether. Seriously, if this wasn't on a plate on a table, you would not know it was supposed to be food, period, let alone meat. That's how bad the texture of it was. It was as though it was cooked for a week.
Also there was a Sizzler in Sheepshead Bay section of Brooklyn that had a smelly salad bar, the items were so stale. The one near me in NJ is great and the best deal in the area.

Recently came to SC.
The food's not bad, but it' not good either. It's mediocre which makes me wonder how this got to be a million dollar food franchise.
There's nothing special about it, except the Big headed clown. lol :p
