*Former Living Colour frontman Corey Glover and writing partner Michael Crincione filed a copyright infringement suit against TLC on February 1.
The suit alleges that TLC utilized pieces of the song "Make Your Mind Up" in their hit "Unpretty." The pair submitted the song to TLC for consideration a year prior to the release of "Unpretty."
Glover and Cirincione maintain that they were told by TLC's LaFace Records label that the song would not be used, but that "Unpretty"-- for which Dallas Austin and TLC member T-Boz received writing credit--contained significant portions of "Make Your Mind Up."
Glover and Cirincione are seeking compensatory damages from the sale of "Unpretty," statutory damages, and legal fees.
