Do to confusion over the ORLANDO THING....(the confusion being that a lot of people thought ORLANDO was a done deal.)

let's all vote on where we would like to have this event.

i havent voted yet!

i am stuck between orlando and here...

i know if it is here....we are 4 hours from NY....so they could come down....we are 4 hours from va beach so they could come up...we are strikin distance from atl...from south carolina.....and there are already 9 of us here in dc....the numbers would be great!

but...i would also like to get away for the weekend...to a place i havent been before...

Are you saying for it to be enough people we need to be central to where everybody is at...is that the only way people will participate?

I understand that people are close to DC and NY and all that you decribed...but why would a majority of people wanna stay in their own city, be around the same shit?

There was no confusion, until Que came on this morning and stated 9 people wanted Hushnic in DC. Several of us posted that we thought as you both thought Orlando was decided already.

Que is starting a new poll to change that due to he and the 9 he mentioned now wanting it in DC.

I mean individuals have the right to change there minds but decide so I can get tickets...


Eventually because of the confusion, Admin may have to do a final poll, and say this is the final vote...vote now or forever hold your peace.

again...

there was an initial talk about a place....we kinda all said orlando would be cool.

then a poll was put up....some people voted on that poll and some did not....a lot of people (according to the questions and pms that i get) were unaware that there were actually CHOICES....hell, some choices were added after folks had voted...

There should be NO confusion...the original poll was never closed so if everybody would kindly vote again....we will have this settled by this weekend.

mocha the poll that you saw...originally had like 3 choices....but it was expanded...and then expanded again......i think the last expansion was NEW ORLEANS.

the presidential election....
the election is still ongoing....but later on after the polls have already been opened...you add in 3 more candidates...one of which really interests u but u can't vote again...but if u could...u would probably change your vote.

it's important to vote on a place so people can start planning but to be inclusive to as many people as possible,it would be good to see how many people have another choice other than Orlando. Also,to get the maximum people to vote,maybe Admin could do a banner across all the forums like he did regarding how to use the cyber confessional. That way people who don't usually check hushnic forum will see the poll and then can vote. And if the final deadline is next week for example,people can still start planning fairly soon.....

naw, the poll I saw was started by hulasista and had these same choices....

No, it's not funny at all, what's funny is a bunch of us were all thinking/agreeing upon Orlando. . . . . to me, it appears this one is more skewed because all the participants in the mini-hushnic seem to want it there. . .all this voting is getting a bit redundant, though. I'm also not totally certain (as with the other poll) that a lot of people are voting who may not even be at least trying to come.

I suppose if nine people want it in DC will those same nine plan to attend if it isn't?

Que, this is real flaw what you doing dawg. You know just like I know that Orlando was choice of the hush Family. I think that is is somewhat selfish and immature for you to come back and try to change things. BTW, if the 9 people that you talked to were all for DC then why have they not voted. At the present time of my post nearly 70% of the family voted for Orlando. If Orlando is chosen again and I am sure it will. I really don't see your point, but then it is rare that anybody ever sees your point:rolleyes:

if there was a dc coupe, then it was unsuccessful. seems that orlando is still a go.

i'm happy that i'll be able to either buy a ticket or work on plans this weekend.

i think the next poll that'll be in order is "who got his/her ticket for hushnic 2002?" i'm sure soft would love to start that one. becoming the proverbial "put up or shut up" time.

I don't believe I heard anyone from DC say they will not be in Orlando if it ended up being there.. But Tastey did say that she will not be there if it's not in Orlando... But the DC folks are being selfish??? :confused: Go figure...

I have talked to a few non-DC folks who also said they wanted it in DC.. But the poll says Orlando so it looks like Orlando it will be.. Damn.. Let's hope there will be a good turnout in Orlando and hopefully these same people who are debating this situation will use this same energy to show up this time.. :hammer

Like i said, i got 3 trips in the works between March and August.

California - March
New Orleans - July
Atlanta - August

somewhere with the HUSH - August

I do know this, i'll need a roommate...can i get a roommate please, male female, don't matter to me..

If something is not decided soon, then i won't be able to go. I like to pay on my trip in installments. I'd like to have the hotel paid for before i get there.

but I get your drift.

When I went to Daytona for a week, six of us did that versus having hotel rooms and having to buy too many meals.

I think the main concern, however, with this would be sleeping quarters. . unless of course there are a lot of single beds like on the REAL WORLD instead of double/queens.

As far as the sleeping thing, I don't take up much room so I can sleep on a chaise for all I care as long as it has cushions on it, I'm cool. . .can't do the floor because I have a bad back.
