R&B/talk station 102.5, which recently added Michael Eric Dyson and Al Sharpton to its lineup, is now bringing in actor/comic/radio host Steve Harvey in mornings. Harvey, who has been on the “Original Kings of Comedy” tour and helmed his own sitcom for several years, is syndicated out of New York and will take over from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. for Silas “SiMan” Alexander, the station’s first morning host for the past three-plus years. Harvey starts June 19.

SiMan fans, don’t despair: he will now take over from 7 p.m. to midnight. He made the announcement this morning.

Harvey is heard on 22 other stations so far, including those in Los Angeles, Chicago, Detroit, Dallas and Philadelphia. More locally, he can also be heard in Savannah, Macon, Albany, Birmingham and Dothan.

The rest of the lineup stays the same, including Dyson (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.), Sharpton (1-3 p.m.), and Michael Baisden (3-7 p.m.)

Harvey had been heard for a few years in Los Angeles but has been syndicated the past year or so. He’s never been aired here but what do you think of him as a radio host for those who have heard him in other cities?

I was CTFU all the way to work. She just busted poor Tommy out, then Steve and Jackie took it further teasing him about babysitting the kids at his moms daycare. The mom told him that they were going on a field trip Friday.

Did you ever hear them do the Monkey Down skit. That was too damned funny. And everytime they play it back I laugh.

I've heard his morning show a few times. He is on a station out of Charlotte and my radio in my Jeep doesn't work...just the CD player.

But when I've been in my Dad's car (the past few weeks since his surgery) I've tuned in and found it amusing.

I prefer Tom Joyner's morning show though.

I'm wondering when he's going to come clean about the rug. He looked more than a little obvious welded to that hat on the BET Awards and many talk shows. He was beave to go jumping rope when he had that Big Time show. If hip hop is worth it's claims to be "keeping it real", somebody needs to go for the hat snatch. Colleague or not, it takeds Wendy Williams down a peg to not have even mentioned it (if she hasn't already) - or have that Charlemagne moocher bring it up.

Not that he's unattractive - There's just something about his standup and the faces etc. that he makes that are unappealing to me. He's funnier to me on Radio and if they haven't even broached or slyly joked about that rug - they are never going to, lol

She has been with Steve for awhile now. She was with him when he was on here in Dallas on 97.9 The Beat. And she was on with him in Los Angeles. She is good, but for some reason I like Jacquie Reed better.

I agree. His answer this am didn't tell you what the deal was with Jacque. Other than her giving an interview telling her side all you have is speculation.

When his show first came on here I hated it. But I have to admit I've grown to like his show.
