My take on this.....you feel that we as black women should give up on black men, because some of them are having children with white women. Okay. I do understand the difference between bi racial children that have black versus white mothers.

My first child has a bi racial father. I didn't know that he was bi racial, his father was deceased when we met and he had a black mother. He was raised as a black man, and that is what I thought he was. When my child was born however, she looked like a white child, and anyone that has seen me knows, I am not a light skinned woman. So I have endured the stares, and the left handed comments from white women, okay?

I also have a cousin that is bi racial that has a white mother. He was raised to be a white man, and when his black father died last year, he decided that he could pass and no longer speaks to any of his black family.

Said all that to say this. What a man does, black or white, does not change who I am, does not change how I act. For I am not a reactionary, being blown about by every wind. I am a proud, strong black woman. Nothing or no one can change that. I love black men. I plan to share my life with a black man.
