Que, to be honest...maaaan, when I came to HN3. I did not pay you to sleep on the couch at House#2. I just made sure to pitch in $$$$ on food and dranks and such.

This is a great question, but I have been paid back for the rental, so let's discuss any charges to folks that wanna be #13, 14, 15 etc.

I'm not seeing the logic in this Que. ANY BODY that occupies space in the house and is using utilities and facilities should pay full price for their stay. Regardless of where they sleep.

I didn't think we are paying for bedspace - an extra person may get there before one of the 12 and acquire a queen size bed - so unless that money allows me to secure a definite bed......or if you are going by the list - I'm sleeping in the garage anyway - i was the last to pay, lol (just using that as an example - not focusing on me).

I'm sure that if 'as it has been said' this is a big slumber party then more friends than yo momma told you could come show up and it's all good.

I'm sure there are some comfy chairs etc. and depending on who decides to get their drink on for real - they might not make it to no bed anyway, lol

Was the last house this...democratic. I mean when you paid - did Admin send you an email stating you had a GUARANTEED BED and since there are not 13 beds - who decides who sleeps with who?

when i did it last time...

i never announced or did a count down as to how many beds were left. it was just understood that there should be enough room for all...even if somebody gotta sleep on a couch.....and as it turned out......that did happen...even though it didnt have to.

i got the biggest house i could because i knew it would fill up.

i don't remember when i decided to get the second house....but if i recall there were some that SPECIFICALLY wanted to stay in the second house.


and as far as WHO sleeps with WHO....you have to prearrange that....

just know that if you are a SINGLE person jumping and claiming a QUEEN bed....that you are really only claiming HALF of that bed.....so it is better to quickly hook up with somebody and BOTH claim that bed.

i dunno....what do you suggest?

last time - i paid for a bed. no matter where i slept each night - i was in a BED! lol...

but i think its NICER and FAIRER to sell beds/bedspace (for larger then twin) beds.

so get another house. the price is too cheap to start deviding up parcels of the floor and couches and selling that space too... its just not THAT necessary.

If you're going to do it that way (squeeze them all in one house), make the late payers pay full price... the whole deal was first come first serve, and everyone knew that... take the extra money and fund an activity, me personally, hush live... and all others who show up but are not staying in the house, pay $15 on food and drinks for hushlive... buy all the food your heart desires and PIG OUT...enjoy the hell out of it!

if you do a second house, this time around, get a gurantee from the extra sets of people/beds before booking the house, book, then collect money, or, collect money, then book.

i think you have a whole slew of folks left 'out there'... you (admin) might have to send another mass email again to offer a second house, hopefully one right next door or two doors down, to get your next group of people. :)

i meant first come first serve to PAY AND GURANTEE A BED... not show up to the house. you can show up on saturday, but, your SPOT will be ready for you... not that no one will NOT sleep in it til you get there, just that, when you get there, the other person forfeits cause they didnt pay to gurantee the bed in advance and the bed is yours lol

admin would lite referee or posting up WHO gets a bed and who doesn't ... i don't think anyone would purposely NOT give up a bed when they know they were last one hired and subject to take a 6x6 sq feet of floor space, but anyone who shows up later than everyone else should have to ask for their bed space and get ignant if no one voluteers to give up a bed they know they didn't get dibs on...

i'm saying this for those who prefer a bed and didn't buy floor space and don't expect to have to sleep on the floor

(this is all lite hypothetical discussion and suggestions for admin... in case anyone is assuming i am assuming a hostile bed take over lmao)

Personally, I wanted tyo wait to get the house until like July, but I guess if I waited until then...we would not have gotten a nice spot. If it is agreed on a second house, do yall need me to book it? or will someone else like to coordinate it?

As far as the "Countdown" I did that as a way of showing folks that this was serious. In recent Hushnics, I have seen alot of folks say they would be there and then have an excuse close to August.

Yeah, I know even now, there could be some last minute cancelations, but at leats I know I have 12 folks coming this year...well 11 and me.

I'm just kind of sitting back in the cut, just watching what is going on and have been watching since the Hushnic 7 thread went up. It's a testament to some of the lavidity of people's claims of how black folks never handle business on-time. Mind you I'm not bitchin to be negative, but I am just trying to hold up the mirror in the midst of the current situation and say "Hey this is the kind of shit that makes white folks say black people will never get their shit together."

I know Hushnic 7 will be my first, but it was done 6 times previously and it's still looking like a Chinese Fire Drill at the Dim Sum Factory. With Hushic less then 2 1/2 months away, folks still don't have the money stashed to the side to pay for the house or buy tickets once the date was announced? Come on people, we have got to do better then this else we always gonna be behind the eight ball.

All I'm saying is, for all you old heads, that have been to Hushnic 1-6 there should have been alot more organization, information and planning done long before we got under the 90 day mark. To be honest, Jan 1st should have been the start of the whole kick off to Huchnic 7. Not saying ya'll should have had gold name plates made and truffles on the bed pillows..... but damn this is just so last minute.

I, We, Us, Them, tried to organize Hushnics in the early days, but that did not work at all....so we stopped. Actually, this wil be the first year that any ridgid plans have been set in stone this early (MAY)...as we usually do not get serious folks until like mid June.
