In the apartment over me, they have 2 toddlers. Now this woman lets those kids run and stomp at all hours of the night. Here it is almost 11 o'damn clock and the little heathens are up running around still over my head!
Plus, she does all kinds of noisy crap late in the evening such as lifting weights which are too heavy for her dumb ass and dropping the things on the damned floor.
So....
on days when those darned kids really work my damned nerves, I turn my go-go on really loud at around 11:30 or so at night. Because of the way my apartments are built, she's the only one who hears it. When I have an overnight guest, I fix the headboard of my bed so that it bangs against the wall (and since I'm fairly energetic, that a whole lot of banging). And I make absolutely no attempt to be less than my usual noisy self when having sex. It drives her absolutely nuts!!! HAHAHAHA!!!

That is the PRIME reason why I hate apartment living. I don't want to live under or over nobody ever again.
My last apt was a townhouse for that very same reason.
When I was living over someone they were always complaining about my son walking around. I honestly tried to be considerate, I wouldn't buy him any riding toys or even push toys because they sounded like trains going overhead to the people downstairs, but he was only about 1 1/2 - 2, then 3 years old. At that age there's very little else they do but run from room to room.
I agree 11 oclock they little asses need to be sleep not disturbing people, but my neighbors used to complain in the early evenings like 6p and 7p. One time he banged on the ceiling with a broom and scared my baby to death. I cussed his ass out!!!! Then I turned on the stereo and jumped up and down on the floor until he called security. Dag! I was a b*tch back then. LOL :p

These people remind me why I didn't want to live in an apartment again.
I realize that with the kids being as young as they are running is all they do so I just deal with it as best as I can during the day but after about 9:30 or 10:00 I fight back. The witch has the nerve to cut her eyes at me if she sees me during the day. If she weren't already bald-headed, I'd have to snatch her dumb butt - lol!

Have you ever spoken to her about all the noise that she makes? Believe it or not some people do not even realize how much noise they are making. Maybe the two of u can come to some kind of compromise.
We have a neighbor that makes a lot of noise too. They take long showers, all I here is water running from 10pm - 3am, they slam their front gate about 20x in a day, they always have company so they always play their music really loud, and the lady next door is always getting into fights with her boyfriend and girlfriend. Oh and she always kicks her older son out of the house, so he comes over and uses the phone. My mother is really nice to her, so if my mother asks she'll try to keep the noise down for a little while.

I'm a bit leery of just walking up there but I think I will and then if that doesn't work, I will talk to the rent office.

I have a friend who has a college guy living above her.. She used to always complain about the parties, company, heavy footing walking back and forth, and how loud he played his playstation!!
I used to always ask her if she talked to him or talked to the rental office and she always said "no, not yet.. But I will..."
One night I was over her house and the noise started.. He had company and they were jumping around and keeping a racket!! I went upstairs, knocked on the door, (had to knock twice before they realized someone was at the door... ) And calmly asked them to lower the noise because I was trying to sleep.. He apologized for the noise and asked his company to calm down... Since then, she says that it has greatly improved.. Except for the heavy footing.. I guess she's gonna have to live with the fact that he has to walk.. :p

I have found that a broom handle to the ceiling works wonders!!

I don't even know if a broom handle works anymore. On Saturday I went over a friend's apartment and the neighbors were buckwilin'. It sounded like the WCW was above us. He and his girlfriend went upstair to tell the people about the noise level and you know what, they never stopped. They've tried talking to the folks, they've tried talking to management and still nothing has happened. Some folks just have no common courtesy.
