To me Luther is that Black Elvis. I mean we black folks will never let luther die...will we? Luther gonna have 200 CD's before it's all over....

Luther has a lot of hits though. I bought a 2 CD "best of" collection of his way back in early 90s, and there must be a dozen more bonafide hits since then.

as for Elvis, with all the hype, how come they never reveal that he was actually Max Baer, aka Jethro on "The Beverly Hillbillies":p That's why all them hicks think they see him... it's the classic hog maws eatin' Goober look.

Yeah, last night during the commercials on BET, they were offering a 3 CD set of all time greatest Luther Hits for only $19.99. Hell I, fought the urge to buy it my dayuum self.

As far as Michael Jackson goes...yeah when he dies, it's gonna be like 3 years of morning, 50 tv specials, All cities across the country will name a street, there will be a statue erected in Gary Indiana, Detroit (MOTOWN), and in Hollywood for him.
