Raising disrespectful children?!?!?!

This past weekend, I was at the Gasparilla kid's parade. While the kid's were trying to catch bead, there was this woman who saw this little boy take 2 toy's that she had purchase for her own kid's, out of her baby stroller and walk off with the toy's. She ran after the little boy and took him to his mom, who happen to be standing close to where the lady was sitting. She proceed to tell his mom about what he had done and she said(mom) Oh well, you shouldn't have put them there. Now mind you he had to actually dig threw her personal stuff to get to the toy's and his mom was like so. The lady was like you aren't going to saying anything, and she like yeah, leave me the hell along......So the lady walks off while the little boy laughs in her face....

I would have taken his little azz to the police and did my best to try to get charges brought up on his little azz. Then she would have to get up off her lazy azz and see bout him then.

This is the type of "BS" we as educator have to face in the educations system. You have all these disrespectful kids coming into class thinking they are as grown as the teacher. I have seen kids cuss grown folks out like they were two equal fighting in the park and I have seen kids fight teachers like they were grown men. No imagine trying to teach in that type environment; it is almost impossible. Trying to get parent involment is next to impossible also. For instance, I have this student who does horrible in my class. He is a behavior problem and he does not do his work. I have called his mother and his father and ask them to come out on numerous occasions, but they nver came. Last week I sent him to the office for acting out in class. He came back the next day and stated, "I don't like you I am going to tell my mother to come out here and cuss you out" I told him, "Hell, tell your mother I can cuss too and if she come out here you better know who she coming out here to see cause I am a real man" The next morning guess who came to see me bright and early:eek: She came and asked me about the incident and I told her. "Your son told me you were coming to cuss me out, so I just let him know what you were coming up against" I explain to her that I had no issue with her at all, but I did have a serious issue about the way her son was behaving in my class. I Then proceeded to show grades, missed assignment, and referrals for her son. She was speechless!!! She left stating, "well, I will make sure he does better" I called her Turesday asking for another conference. You think she came? Nope!!!!
